Replace Cat5E cable in conduit?

Hello there, I recently discovered that my new home has a conduit with a Cat5E cable inside, unattached. Also, the coax cable is present within the same conduit. I'm planning to remove the coax cable and try to replace the old Cat5E cable with a new Cat6 cable.

And also, the conduit connects from my living room to the 3rd floor in a straight manner. Any tips and ideas how to remove the old wiring? I tried pulling but it's too impossible and might snap the cable.
