Recommendation needed for new PC

hi sifoos,

need your expertise and recommendations. i need a new PC, without monitor or keyboard or mouse. only the casing and its internal organs.

i want one which will let me play Sims 2 installed with all its expansions without lag and at max setting for 24hours straight.

i want to use for surfing, downloading, photoshoping, movie/anime watching

i want one which will last me six years, esp the mobo, proc, and psu, like my current one (although it is getting tediously slow nowadays, thus the reason for replacement. )

i want ASUS mobo, ASUS NVIDIA gcard, ASUS dvdrw, INTEL proc, KINGSTON ram, SEAGATE harddisk.

here comes the problem, i dunno which one to buy, cuz theres so many models and types.

i found a balanced pc configurator on nvidia website, and with its help, i have determined that i want:-

Intel E8400 and Asus Nvidia 8800GT

but so far ive gone thru the LYN pricelist, i couldnt find any ASUS nvidia 8800GT. May be i'm outdated. So im open for gcard recommendation, so long as its not more than RM300-RM500.

another problem arises from this is i dunno
1- which mobo can the proc and gcard fit,
2- what type/kinda ram should be used
3- how much power it will need.

my budget, 1500 - 1800.

i know its a challenge, cuz i want a great pc, but very stingy with the budget... well im the type who dont mind replacing and upgrading, as long as the mobo, proc and psu can accomodate.

so please recommend:-
1- which asus mobo suitable for Intel E8400
2- which type of ram to use
3- which gcard would be best for the mobo & my needs
4- how much power it will need

Broadband provider
ISP/package: rm44 limited
Location: gombak
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: theyr not picking up

Personal equipment
Modem: aztech 600eu
Router: atech 600eu
Firewall used: xp's

Problem details
First occurence of problem: yup
Problem frequency: just noticed tonight. last night worst. cant even ping outside
Problem description:

as usual, im another one of those leechers, but not so extreme, i still turn off my pc.. anyway on one fine day, last sunday, i found that i cant surf the net while on utorrent. but still, even without using utorrent it was hard to properly load a webpage if i open more than one browser. yahoo mail beta isn't even loading!

so last night, i tried getting online, but i found out that although all the lights are steady on the modem, i cant browse.. so i ping and all got error. called streamyx & get the recorded msg abt them having prob.. so i gave up.

then tonight i tried again. i got online & opened a browser, google was loading reaaaaly slow!! i open my task mgr, went to the networking tab & i did the tmnet speedometer using all three servers & all three result is equivalent to a 28.8kbps connection. the graph in task mgr showed a constant 0.02-0.03%, but during the upload test it went 0.15-0.20%. 100% = 100Mbps

tried calling tmnet again.... no answer tonight.. so i try my luck here. so sifus.. enlighten me, please
