RAM upgrade (Quanta NL5A)

Hello guys. Currently I'm using Illegear Laguna with Micron 8GB 2400 MHz.

Planning to upgrade to 16GB.

Should I add 8GB ram and run as dual channel? (might have BSOD issue since manufacture line is different)

Or should I just swap with 16GB RAM?

I noticed 16GB RAM in the market comes in 2666 MHz instead of 2400 MHz. Are those compatible with my motherboard (Quanta NL5A) ?

courses related to chemistry/biology?

hi sifu2 semua, i just finished spm but i have trouble of deciding what to do

i'm interested in chemistry/biology (though i prefer chem over bio)

currently my main option is to take a-levels in MCKL (parents urge me to take january intake course) but i havent registered yet, so i'm also considering other options

so my questions are:
1. i've heard of biochemistry, i've heard of genetics, what are other interesting courses that are related to chemistry/bio?
2. my trials results were 3A+ 6A 1A-, is it possible for me to apply a sponsored full course for a degree? if yes, where?

Budget (below rm100) in-ear headphones?

The sound quality of my current stock earbuds that come with my ninetology phone is just horrible... It's incredibly uncomfortable as well. Any recommendations? I'm actually quite interested in getting the mi headphones... Cheap (rm50 liddat?), easy for travel and good enough for . mp3. Are there any other alternatives though?

Unremovable Icon on Desktop

So I was going to install a classic Chinese RPG game.. I've played it about 5 years ago, quite nostalgic so I want to give it a try again.
I went to a random Chinese website and downloaded it.

During the installation, I've noticed that I need to agree that they will set my Internet Explorer homepage into a website, http://www.2345.com/y.htm?12 (I don't know if this is a phishing website, but I'll just tell you the details). My thought was: well I can easily set it back to the original website, moreover I'm using Chrome. So without thinking twice I hit the "Next" button and the installation continues.

What bugs me is it has created an unremovable Internet Explorer icon on my Desktop (which I have removed the shortcut BEFORE installing the game). I tried to modify my homepage but the mentioned URL is just fixed to the browser settings. Anyway here is a view of the context menu.

In case for the sifus who don't understand Chinese, from top the bottom, in meant My Homepage, Delete, Cut.
If I click the "My Homepage", Internet Explorer will be brought up. However, if I select the "Delete" and "Cut in Chinese words", it will bring up the properties menu.

Even if I clicked the "Blank" button and clicked "OK", the homepage never changes.

The icon cannot be Cut, Copy and Pasted, Delete or whatsoever. Shortcuts can be created out of it, though.

TL;DR:
Installed a Chinese game, Internet Explorer homepage is screwed up and an unremovable icon is created.
