Opinion on 3D TV's

I want to buy a new TV, not sure if I should look for 3D capabilities for future use. There seems to be more and more 3D movies coming out (although slow growth) such as Life of Pi, Hobbit etc. I can only expect better 3d movies in the future.
I remember 2011/2012 was all about 3D for TV's. And now suddenly there's not much hype on it. All about Smart TV's now with apps, internet function etc.
Are 3D TV's dead? For those who have bought a 3D TV, is it worth it? How much do you use it?
Also, 3d movies are dependent on the bluray disc itself? so I can just buy a 3d movie and use on my PS3, or do i need another special device to play?

Gym Membership Prices

I thought I make a thread where we can share and post how much we are all paying for our gym memberships; and we can compare between gyms and also have more transparency in the costs. So we know if we are paying too much than we should or being cheated from cunning gym salesmen. From researching, there is a huge discrepancy from RM100-200/month for the same exact type of membership. Why can't the big gyms like CF, FF, TF offer fixed prices and state them on their websites/banners instead of isolating new prey and con them?

So i will list my own.

Gym: Celebrity Fitness
Membership Type: Single branch (1Utama)
Contract: 1 year
Date signed: Jan 2013
Cost: RM173/month (+ ~RM400 sign up/admin fee)

traditional malaysia design

got uni assignment to design a logo, brand, menu for traditional malaysian restaurant (outside malaysia). i guess main objective would be to design an image of a country's culture through a restaurant; perhaps a more fine dining type like madam kwans? (can't thnk of others). initially thought of 'flowing' flowery typograhy and flower shapes like those kites and traditional clothing, but then thinking maybe its too corny. been trying to look for examples of traditional designs for like logo's and notice there aren't really any. so fellow designer/locals, any great other ideas of 'authentic malaysia' i could look into or good examples?
