Cleaning up previous tenant's mess

Hello everyone, I hope this is the right channel to ask this. I would like your advice on the predicament I am in now

About 10 years ago my parents bought a property and put it under my name, in case anything happens to them. In those 10 years they rented it out to a young couple and collected rent as their monthly income (they are retired). The tenants recently moved out in June. They have not responded to my dad’s messages and phone calls since then, so I am assuming that they have made a conscious decision to ghost us completely and permanently.

Come December, I am essentially taking over the house and moving in. However, the previous tenant left a lot of headache for me to handle:

TNB Bill
They left me with a RM2.8k TNB bill, which is under my name. In between when they moved out and myself moving in, I have been and will be paying RM100 per month to make sure it does not get cut.

I am contemplating between paying it all off so I will have a clean slate when I move in (which will hurt my wallet definitely), or paying only my portion of the bill per month when I move in. Or, I will pay a little extra on top of my monthly bill to slowly pay the RM2.8k off. Which of these should I do?

Indah Water Account
The Indah Water account is under the previous tenant’s name. I would like to take back ownership to avoid having anyone chasing me in the future. What would the process be? And would I still be expected to settle the tenant’s previous bill? I remember hearing that if the place is vacated for a minimum of 6 months with proof of the water bill (is there any other proof I will need?), the Indah Water bill will be waived. But will it only be waived for the vacation period, or any previous bills before the vacation?

Tenant's possessions
Before the tenants left, they left some stuff at the house and told us they will pick it up later. As I remember, 90% of the stuff is stuff they intended to recycle (glass jars, tin cans etc), a standalone electric oven, some baking supplies (flour, cornflour etc) and some random items like boxes and stuff. Aside from the standalone electric oven (which is quite old tbh), nothing else seems of any personal worth.

My parents have gotten rid of the recyclable stuff because we did some minor renovation and it was getting in the way, but the rest are still in the house. If I were to get rid of all the remaining items, would it cause any legal trouble for me in the future if ever the tenants resume contact (which I highly doubt right now)?

----------------------

Another thing to note is that this is essentially my first house, so any other advice for first time homeowner who is inheriting a lot of these past tenants problems would be helpful. Is there anything that I might need to look out for? Any other loose ends I might miss? Thanks in advance~

Upgrading graphics card

Hello everyone,

I am planning to upgrade to a higher graphics card.
Honestly, it's because I want to play Monster Hunter World which needs a minimum of NVIDIA GTX 760.

Here's my current rig:
Intel Core i7 2600 3.4GHz
Intel DH67CL-B3
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333 x 2
CM 550WATT
CM ELITE 310

I currently have an NVIDIA GTX 650 Ti BOOST and would like to upgrade to something that can help me play Monster Hunter world. I realize my rig is super old (2012) but I don't have a lot of money to fork out to replace everything.

Can someone help recommend me an affordable way to upgrade my rig so I can play MH without it crashing but if it's a hopeless case, please do recommend me a list that can use as many of my existing parts as possible.

Thanks in advance!

Handbag brand recommendation?

Hi, I'm planning to buy a handbag for my mum aged 60 this year. What handbag brands should I look at?

I don't know what is a suitable handbag brand for her age. So far I'm looking at Santa Barbara Polo, but I'm not sure if it's suitable.
My max budget is RM350 so I can't buy her any 'very atas' stuff

Thanks in advance.

Where to buy wireless lavalier mics?

Sorry in advance if this thread is in the wrong section

I am looking to buy a wireless lavalier mic but I need it ASAP, so unfortunately I am only limited to local online store or physical store with ready stock. I will be using it with a DSLR system.

I don't know yet what I am interested in, would browse the available ready stock, do research and then decide.

Need suggestions for video and graphic design rig

Hello, would like some suggestions on a design work rig

My work involves a lot of motion graphics and web design work. So that means I run a lot of After Effects (my work is primarily this), heavy Photoshop files, lots of crazy complicated vector objects in Illustrator to name a few.
In a nutshell, the rig needs to handle heavy design workload, render videos at an okay speed, handle heavy Adobe formats and not die on me.
I will not be using this rig to play games at all.

My requirements:
- 2 HDDs as I will probably need to allocate one just to store files Preferably 2TB (storage) + 1TB (running the OS and programs)
- Excluding monitor, keyboard, speakers etc.
- I will be running 2 monitors. Most likely a Dell UltraSharp24 to view my work on and another cheap monitor (or Dell's 19") just to display other work-related stuff (emails, Chrome, windows explorer etc) so the rig will need to accommodate for this
- Would like Windows OS price included in this

Budget:
RM2.5k firm. Would like to not go over it even if it's a RM10~20.

Future expansion:
Would also like some suggestions in what I should look to upgrade the rig with a RM500 budget in the future

Thanks in advance~

I want to build a desktop from scratch and this is the 1st time i'm doing it. hope you guys can help me recommend me the parts

Budget:
RM3000 is my budget, I'm willing to top up until RM500 if it's worth it.

Use:
1. Graphic and web design. (must be able to handle hi-res photoshop file meant for print coz sometimes i receive such files from client, and my laptop will always lag when i open it)
2. some light-gaming, Sims 3 (lol) with a few expansion packs and Skyrim.

for the processor I've settled for Core Intel i5 2400, and for the OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I also wish to have 4GB RAM at least on this build.
but if you have better suggestions, please feel free to suggest

I also want to hook up 2 monitors, but don't include that in the price coz i'm getting it separately.

edit: if it's wise, I also wish to have 2 internal HDD. One for normal use and one for storage.

thanks in advance and gong xi fa cai n happy holidays

That means you pick out a colleague's name at random and you have to get that person a Christmas gift.

My budget is RM20 ish. What's a safe gift for a guy in his late 20's? He likes to write (but don't recommend a pen no matter how nice it is. Feels kinda corny) and he likes to generate ideas.

Inb4 surprise buttsecks, kerja meniup dan yang sewaktu dengannya.
