Stereo Speaker cable recommendation

Hi All,

Just bought a 2nd hand speakers (Audioengine P4) from one of the forumer here. Now, I intend to use it with my existing Denon AVR 1911 for stereo music with Front A/B speaker set up. I have tested it yesterday and it sounded on the 'bright' side as I was using normal QED cable (Classic 42 strand). Any recommendation for the speakers cable that would give a warmer sound? The forumer who sold me these speakers recommended Chord cable (Carnival Silverscreen) for warmer/better sound. I'm willing to spend around RM100-RM200.

Since this is my first bookshelf speaker (compact though), any recommendation in terms of setting of low freq crossover, etc on the avr? any opinion is welcomed!

Dear All,

I have just got my first LED TV yesterday. First impression, quite satisfying. Colour is quite natural to my eyes, picture quality is good, watched this morning CL match in this new screen, very happy! (both the result and TV) Just found out this model does have one HDMI (with audio return channel ARC). Tried to use the ARC for my ASTRO>TV>amp, but could'nt get it work.

Will try to explore on the settings this few days. Anyway, does anyone know how to check the panel usage history of Toshiba LCD TV? I suspected my unit is a display unit. When the delivery guys did the initial set up, there wasn't any initial set-up appeared, straight to ASTRO after plugged in all connections. (I read the manual later and it stated switching on the TV the first time, there would be the set up on language, location for home/store etc). Also, what is the latest firmware for this model? Where can I check? Support from Toshiba?

All in all, quite happy with this TV, just felt cheated on the 'display set'. Hope to hear from some owners and sifus soon.

I have just auditioned the BA Soundware XS 5.1, I think the sound quality for both movie and music are impressive!! May be the centre speaker is a bit 'weak/ lacking' (just a bit), overall they are still impressive to me. I'm looking for my first HTS but i'm not an audiophile expert.

Any owners out there? Mind to share your views on this speaker system?

Dear All Sifus,

This is my maiden post! Hope to hear your opinions. I'm planning to get my 1st home theatre for my new condo. I have shortlisted 3 speaker systems.

1) Aego T
2) Epos AVS 5.1
3) QAcoustics 2000 series 5.1 (graphite)

Music/Movie = 60/40

I have listened all of the above and they are almost the same price range. I like the design of Aego T as well as the Epos and i think Epos is more musical compare to Aego T. For QA, I guess bcoz the won whathifi recommendation . However, I can't decide which to get. I also plan to pair them with Denon 1610 / 1910.

What do you think? Which would you choose and why?
