Transfer of Property Ownership

Hi fellow members,

I purchased a house with my partner about 4 years ago via a joint financing Islamic loan from Hong Leong.

To cut it short, things have since gone sour and we've gone our separate ways.

The agreement made is that i would takeover all the loans and financing issues for the property and that the other party will sign over her part of the house/loan to me.

The banker mentioned the only way to do this is via a loan refinancing, but i understand that there are a lot of costs involved as well. Is there any other ways of doing this? via a legal letter for transfer of ownership instead? is there such a thing?

Hi folks,

Need some advice on replacing my aging and occasionally erratic GC. It is a HIS ATi 4670 512MBDDR3 GC card which sits on a Intel I5 3570 3.4Ghz. Hooked up on a Gigabyte Z77M-D3H Motherboard.

Any suggestions on what would be a decent upgrade for some average gaming like car simulator games and CS GO etc.

As this is my older PC in my hometown, its just to layan games when i am back on extended holidays..so not looking to spend too much.

Do share some advice on what i should purchase ( either New or Pre-Owned unit is fine by me) Budget around RM200-400

A rather simple question. If my car road tax expires tomorrow ( Sat 3rd Aug), Can i renew it today at JPJ ( Fri 2nd Aug)?

Meaning, if i wanna renew on the 2nd but let the road tax start back on the 3rd? Can it be done?

Hi Folks,

I am currently looking for a condo/apartment unit to get as my 1st home. Currently looking at some property in Brickfields as my in-laws stay nearby in Seputeh. An agent showed me a unit in Menara Puteri worth about Rm430k.

Is it a good place? I am not so comfy with the traffic in the area but my wife doesnt seem to mind it too much.

Looking forward to some advise on future potential of the place and negatives of this place.

AMD Athlon X64 2800
HIS 512mb GC DDR2( forgot what series)
MSI K8N Neo 3 Mobo
Cooler Master 460w PSU
2 x 1GB Kingston Hynix Ram DDR1
Creative X-Fi Sound Card
Western Digital 500gb HD

I am currently facing issues with my GC ( fan not working) and maybe the mobo.

Pc recently refused to start ( no disp) and when started was hang on Bios or sometimes Windows Log on Screen.

Based on troubleshoot, looks likely mobo or GC issues

Can recommend me a suitable upgrade between 500-700?
