Should I pay the rent?

Okay, so I will make the story short in point form.

- I rent a room, paid 2 months deposit with 1 year contract

- Stayed half year, until this month I wanted to move out

- I informed landlord late around 12th or 13th

- At the same time, landlord has changed the keys so my stuff is still stuck in the room

- Now landlord wants me to pay this month rental as well

- Reason, my stuff is still in the room

- I actually called my housemate early this month to move out my things already but he can't because landlord changed the lock.

- Not I don't want to move out earlier, but when I want to move out my things, I cant. Landlord change lockpad. No keys to access.

- Should I pay?

I thought deposit is meant to be paid as an INSURANCE just in case the tenants move out without notice within the 1 year contract so that landlord can use it to cover up???

I rent a room of 1 year contract. Paid 2 months deposit in advance.

Now, staying half a year only I move out already. This month semester holiday and I only informed landlord about moving out 2 weeks later.

I told him he can have my deposit but now he rage and ask me to pay for this month's rental too because my things are still at the house. (I went back hometown, but my things still left at the house. I can move out my things anytime now but the problem is that he change the lock and the landlord is not around lately too.)

Now, the problem is, do I need to pay for this month's rental too? I gave him my 2 months deposit and 1 month utilities deposit fee for FREE already.
