Is it my Asus X550D or it is just me?

Hi guys,
Really need ur help especially the pros. I recently bought a new laptop, Asus X550D because for me it is quite nice for its value. But one thing i cannot understand is eventhough the spec, for me are very nice. The laptop seems to be very laggy in gaming even dota2 in low setting!! For battlefield 4, i can hardly gain 30 fps while gaming offline in lowest setting. Heres my laptop's spec:

Amd A10 5750M 2.5 Ghz with built in radeon hd 8650G
8Gb ddr3 RAM
AMD Radeon HD 8670M 2GB DDR3
Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit.

Im worried cause my friend got a laptop with amd a4 1.5 ghz and hd 8670m 1gb, and 4 gb ram but his laptop perfomance in gaming further outperfome mine. I have updated all the driver for graphic card but still no luck.
So is my laptop is faulty or it has something to do with the windows, or driver such?
