Why we choose bots?

Well, in my previous post, I've written about "ranking system" and this is the follow-up on the rank, bot.

Ever since beta 1 Ragnarok Online, I've know some botting program which actually will do the leveling for you while you do your laundry and watch the car pass by.

Since Bot is a kind of cheating, why is it still there?! (Despite the fact that the last time I played Ragnarok is years ago)

Simply because when there is demand, there will also be market for it. Most of the people are naturally born lazy unless you're a hardworking freak. Thus, if we've got the chance to take the short cut; of course we will pick it right?

When we play games, we want things to be easier for us.

* We read guides because we don't want to spend hours wondering what happens if we add this status and screw up our characters when we added something wrong.
* We read quest guide because we don't want to accidentally find an npc that will provide us quest with nice thing and by the time we found it, our level was too high for it as some quests have level caps.

What does this have to do with bot? Because we want to save our time; as simple as that; which the bot provides the function to do so.

When we are asleep, we can just leave our computer on (I never shut down my computer) and let the bot do the mob-killing job. After the bell rings, we may find our characters have leveled up (Some people do have multiple bots).

Although a bot might not gain higher experience/hour as compared to hand play but we can't deny the fact that a bot will gain higher experience/day simply because bots are controlled by commands; not human which requires Zzzz!

Furthermore, the more mobs we kill, the more loot we get which equals to more money.

In a simplified model:

Bot = -time + loot + level

Therefore, it is obvious why someone would risk getting a Trojan in order to get the botting program.

I am currently a STPM student that's still planning for her uni.

My result is so-so so I planned to take UTM

Here are my questions for fellow UTM-ers

1. According to this website, the Jenis Rumah 2 bilik with aircond stated RM 500, is it for the whole house or just per room? I phoned UTM and the girl said she has never checked on the website before so she isn't sure.

2. According to the rules, Penggunaan alat-alat elektrik tidak dibenarkan kecuali radio. Does that means I can't bring my own Laptop?!!!

3. What are the differences between Grafik & Multimedia, Computer Science & Software Engineering?

4. Is it recommended to buy a bicycle to ride in the campus? >.>"

5. If I got accepted to the university, can I choose my own roommate? I'm currently hypnotizing my ex-classmate to apply UTM.
