How To Differentiate Real and Fake

Natural bird's nest are real bird's nest and as a consumer, you should know how to differentiate in order not to purchase impure bird's nest.

• Weight : It's very rare for a piece of full-cup shaped bird's nest weigh more than 8 grams. A piece of high quality full-cup shaped bird's nest weigh about 6-8 grams.

• Observe: Pure bird's nest should have a structure made of strands. Pieces which are solid are not bird's nest. Do not go for bird's nest which are white in colour, those which are yellowish are better. It should be translucent to light after it has been thoroughly soaked. Once soaked, it should inflate 5 – 8 times in size.

• Smell: Bird's nest possesses a special fragrance which is not too strong. Those with fishy smell or oily smell are imitations.

• Pull: Take a few strands of bird's nest which has been soaked in water. If the strand breaks easily when pulled or pressed with your fingers, it is not real bird's nest.

• Burn: Take a small piece of dry bird's nest and burn it. Those that burn with crackling sounds are imitations.

Nutritional Value Of Bird’s Nest

The main nutritional contents of bird’s nest are water-soluble proteins and carbohydrates, coupled with other nutrients like calcium, phosphorous, iron, sodium, potassium and vitamin B1. Bird’s nest contains Epidermic Growth Factor (EGF) which can stimulate cell growth, and regenerate and strengthen the immune system. In addition, bird's nest is rich in collagen and minerals which is beneficial for making the skin smooth and promote anti-aging. It is regarded as the best beauty product.

Many celebrities consume bird’s nest on a regular basis to maintain beauty and youthfulness. Bird's nest contains amino acids which can promote the growth of human tissue and cell reproduction. It has a very good effect on the rehabilitation of damaged skin tissue or for those receiving chemotherapy.

Benefit Of Bird’s Nest

It has been discovered that bird's nests contain a very important polypeptide hormone – the Epidermal Growth Factor or EGF). This substance is found in most of the body fluids within the human body, and its content is the highest in milk and sperm. They are synthesized chiefly by the submaxillary gland and the duodenum and they possess various essential biological functions such as inhibiting the secretion of gastric juices and protecting the duodenum.

EGF also has another very important function and it has been nicknamed “genes of beauty” as a result thereof. It is able to stimulate the fission and propagation of various cells, promote cell division, repair skin damage speedily and bring about the healing of wounds caused by surgery and injuries. It affects the fineness and ageing of human skin and it motivates ageing skin, rejuvenating it and bringing back its luster and elasticity.
The above discovery not only brought good news to women of the world. In fact, for the past years, famous movie stars from Hong Kong and Taiwan , especially females, have made bird's nest their favourite. Bird's nest has helped them to take care of their skin and kept them youthful even under the stress of making movies or attending concerts. All these secrets have been made public through the media.
It can now be seen that bird's nest possesses miraculous effects in beautifying skin. There are not only practical experiences proving this but also scientific proof. Mitochysis experts have even extracted a substance capable of improving immunity by promoting the fission of T cells and B cells from bird's nest.

Lymphatic cells are important to immune cells in the human body and they include T lymphatic cells and B lymphatic cells. The mitochysis substance contained in bird's nest stimulates lymphatic cells to improve immunity in the human body. It is also one of the basic substances contained in bird's nest for supplementing human health.
