Fixing deep scratch on fairings?

So, after 2 years of riding, I've met the inevitable. Skidded my bike and fell, some parts of the fairing is scratched pretty deep. Do you guys know anywhere nearby KL (Wangsa Maju) that can do touch up/fixing? Would like to try touching it up as option before buying new set of fairings. Thanks!

JPJ Procedure

Hi guys, long time didn't post. Anyone has experience with JPJ when they get roadblock with modifications such as a full system/slip on , tail tidy, HID, etc...? I so far never come across any roadblock , still riding stock currently lol. To my understanding JPJ roadblocks more strict than Polis roadblock. And how do you guys convince them or rather slip pass? (No suit kopi pls haha). I've read that you can get either saman, letter for inspection or both. A few questions here:

1. How much is a saman for full exhaust / slip on/ HID / plate ? Does the Saman accumulate with each offence/modifications?
2. How often do they do roadblocks and where? Or is it just luck.
3. How's the procedure like for inspection?

I know a bit story about mv agusta, it didn't quite succeed. Heard they sold their company for reaaally low price and went through many companies? 2018 demak was suppose to be in charge for it's distribution in Malaysia, then they also bungkus. That's all I know lol.

What's the current situation with Mv agusta in malaysia and how does it affect it's customers? Been seeing The Gasket ET Alley offering service for this brand, but how they import parts and all?

Just curious on their situation since there's little info about it's local operations in Malaysia. Last post about it was in 2017 lol.

JPJ Approval Form For Importing Helmets

Has any LYN forumer here tried applying for a permit in view of their recent tightening of "confiscating helmets brought through the airport"?

I saw this form while browsing on JPJ's website. How long does it take for JPJ to send an approval (or reply, if they even reply or approve any application) or is this form just as redundant as a Full System Exhaust + Tuning on a 250cc bike

Fedex problem again.

Hi guys, my fedex tracking stated this "description provided is insufficient to classify commodity". Prior to this att 10am I received an email from Fedex asking to provide a description , which I did. Then an hour ago when I checked tracking , it's still hasnt cleared kastams and showed me the "description provided is insufficient to classify commodity". I haven't received any emails or calls yet fRom fedex (been an hour since they've updated the tracking only) but what should I expect from this and if so how should I handle this? Thanks

Fedex Tax?

Hi guys, so rerecently bought something . Wanted to use DHL Express but the forwarder in U.S used fedex instead and I heard fedex is a huge c*nt for taxing and theyI bump up freight charges without justification.

My shipment details are as per fedex tracking
Using fedex international economy
Weight of item: 0.32kg (320g)
Price declare : $30 (excluding forwarder shipment fees in US which is $18 after round off) - if total $48, then still kena?
item description : kitchenware
*seller didn't add invoice with parcel*

What's the likelihood of getting taxed? If so, what's the expected amount? I heard Fedex will bump up the value and what not just so we consumers will kena taxed.

EDIT : with the above information, assuming my shipper (hopshopgo) does include my shipping cost of $18 , how does Kastam tax ? Or rather how does fedex conclude freight rates/charges?

So..i opened a thread in Kopitiam. And now I require further assisitance.

I have paypal balance (MYR) left in my account. Neither is my bank or debit card is linked (they're taking donkey years to verify apparently, been almost 4 days now).

1) Is there any other way I can withdraw my paypal balance back into my account ?

2) I was thinking of "send payment" to a a friend and then he'll withdraw the balance from his paypal account back into his linked bank/debit card. Will that work ?

3) I know paypal centre has closed its doors, is there no other customer service number I can call to help with the verification of my bank account/debit card? Or for this matter.

Ok, so ... probably this has been answered dinosaur years ago. But I heard there were new changes in Paypal since last year. I just opened a paypal account and linked it with my bank (RHB bank). It's already been more than 24hrs and the status is still "Checking". I know there's a waiting time. Plus, I want to transfer the cash from my RHB bank to my paypal balance.

On the otherhand, I've linked my debit card as well (RHB bank, same as above savings account). It's not "confirmed yet" and was told to key in the code upon their 2 deposits into my account and whatnot. Now, how long will it take until they send me the said code?

Also:

1) Can I still send payment (Goods and service) overseas to US even if i have $0 paypal balance? If so, can i do so via my debit card which (if they finally send a code) is confirmed? How will the money be transferred?

Remapping / ECU tunning / Tune

Hi guys, so lately I've been doing some brief reading on tuning and remapping, and have a few questions. Excuse my lack of knowledge , still learning here for some future projects. I know tunning and remapping are essential if you change to a full exhuast system, to ensure the ECU is working appropriately from the huge air intake (from the exhaust system). In turn it adds some HP and prevents engine damage (though I've read you can tune based on what you want? E.g. fuel economy, more HP, etc...). Here are some of my questions.

1) How does tunning/remapping work? Like does it recode the codes of the bike's ECU from the factory? Won't the engine parts be a limitation no matter how much the ECU is being recoded to balance the fuel and air intake? Do they like add in additional structural parts to the bike's engine? By doing either, will it be detrimental towards the bike engine since the makers have made the bike specifically to perform optimally?

2) What are the steps in remapping a bike following a complate full system exhaust change?

3) I've heard that to tune a bike , there are different types of auto tuners? And each are coded differently?

4) also read that if the tuner (the person who's tuning your bike) isn't knowledgeable, he could possible ruin the bike ? If so, what are the basic parameters one needs to know when tuning?

5) what are the best recommended auto tuners specifically for the Yamaha r25 (yes, not a worthy bike for tuning, but hey why not lol) ? Or are all auto tuners universal?

6) any recommendations for a reputable shop who knows how to tune properly? Preferably for Yamaha r25. What about these - tuneboss and motodynamics ?

Hi guys , excuse my ignorance and lack of knowledge but I would like to ask from the fellow veterans here on whether these brands are reliable and genuine. I've searched online but only found a lot of local reviews and little to no "international reviews" (from revzilla, fortnine,etc...)

The relatively cheap price makes me sceptical on it's certification and quality .

Hi guys, I've searched the forums and have gotten information about motorcycle licenses in malaysia an how to apply them, but there are some advice which I'd like to seek from the experienced / new riders here in the forum.

1) Has there been any changes to the undang undang test? From what I dug up in the forums (dated 3 years back) , despite having a CDL driver's license I still have to sit for the undang funding computerized test for motorcycle license. Is it still like this?

2) for someone who hasn't touched a bike before, must I take a B2 first or can I jump straight to a B full ?

3) when at the academy for the practical hours (9hrs) do they provide any bikes of all CC to practice with (I heard some had Er6n models? But limited in quantity). If they do provide, is it available at allthe times ? Will there any merebut-merebut among trainees? Lol . And if they don't provide, do I have to get my own ? :/

Sorry for the repeated questions. I've been wanting to ask since years have passed and I'm afraid they might have changed some stuff. Hoping to obtain guidance from the sifus here

Greetings, would like to seek guidance and help.

Anybody here has a Bank Rakyat account ? I just opened one recently 2 months back and when I activated my online banking system, I checked that there was "XXX XXX HIBAH" (where the "X" are numbers and letters which Im not disclosing here) which credited/banked-in RM0.05 each month since September. Total RM0.10. Would like to know is this similiar to % of interest given in a savings account? And that the amount banked into my account monthly will be based on how much money I have inside my savings ?

WTF does this mean ?

Anyone encountered this before ? It's an order from Ebay. Been almost 8 days since it's latest updated (refer below under UPS). Tracking number was also given a week ago.

This was the latest update. It's "delivered" via UPS. Im assuming it should be enroute to Malaysia soon. But I have no means of tracking my package since both tracking numbers are cuckoo already lol. Any idea ? My concern is with the 1st pic, not the Erlanger one.

You know you're desperate for help when you ask serious questions in Kopitiam because nobody replies your thread in its relevant forum section.

I recently purchased an item from Ebay, they gave me a tracking number for UPS only and the package was delivered within the US and awaiting to be exported to Malaysia I assume (status was "Delivered"). Will the tracking number be the same throughout the whole journey until Malaysia or will they send in a new tracking number when the item reaches Malaysia with Pos Malaysia being one delivering it to my house? Or will there be any tracking number at all once the item is enroute to Malaysia ?

Ok, don't flame me for this post but I need to clarify some information regarding postage. (Yes, im aware that there are pinned posts and threads but nobody seems to be replying anyone there, so I'd try my luck with a new thread)

What would be the time for the package to arrive at my house if the seller sends package from the following locations :-

1) From Petaling Jaya (Ara Damansara) to Wangsa maju
2) From KLIA (1&2) area to Wangsa Maju

Wangsa maju is the destination of the package (i.e my house) and assuming that the seller may post it before/after 3pm. What would be the approximate time of arrival for my package ? I do know that it varies and it's not certain, but an estimate perhaps ?
