Complaint Against Real Estate Agent: How?

Hi guys,

I am doing some research for an article and wanted to ask for your experiences/feedback on the complaints mechanisms in Malaysia against real estate agents.

I edi contacted ippeh and miea but ippeh's email bounced so I will go visit their office on Monday. But anyway, wanted some real life feedback.

Have you tried any of these complaint avenues?

How was the response?

What would you recommend?

Bad Drainage Smell in Apartment. Help!

Just moved into a condo unit and noticed occasionally there will be a foul drainage smell coming out from the hole where the washing machine drains water. It's not continous and comes and goes. Once it's gone - no trace that it's ever been there. Then WHAM! comes again. Very sporadic.

No water damage on surrounding walls and havent seen any problem with the toilet drainage or anything. I've already called the plumber but he's sway and it will be sometime before he gets to have a look.

This is my first time staying in high rise - is this normal? I've read international forums that say it is. Often, the shared drainage can smell and this seeps into the apartment.

Any tips also on how to manage it?

Hi guys,

my parents thinking of sending my bro to private school once he go frm 1. Say worried he wont get good education otherwise. But we still dunno for sure. Dowan him to end up like those privilege kid who think they all tht cos go private school.

PUTRAJAYA: Menunggu 46 hari untuk gaji Ogos berikutan pembayaran awal gaji bagi Julai boleh mengundang 'bencana kewangan' kepada penjawat awam jika mereka terlalu ghairah berbelanja untuk menyambut perayaan Aidilfitri.

Penjawat awam yang menerima gaji dan bonus RM500 pada 25 Jun lalu, dijadualkan menerima gaji awal untuk Julai iaitu pada 9 haribulan, manakala gaji berikutnya pada 25 Ogos.

Seorang perunding kewangan dari Great Eastern Takaful Ahmad Humaizi Mat Noor berkata penjawat awam perlu bijak berbelanja semasa Hari Raya.

Mereka perlu menetapkan dalam minda masing-masing bahawa gaji yang dibayar pada 9 Julai itu seharusnya digunakan untuk bulan Ogos.

"Harus diberi perhatian serius kerana kehidupan anda bergantung kepada gaji tersebut selama 46 hari sebelum akaun kembali terisi dengan gaji bulan berikutnya," katanya.

Dalam temu bual dengan Bernama, beliau mengajukan beberapa saranan kepada penjawat awam dalam merancang perbelanjaan.

Ahmad Humaizi berkata bajet untuk keperluan Aidilfitri, yang dijangka disambut pada 17 Julai, harus dibuat berdasarkan gaji diterima pada 25 Jun berserta bonus RM500 yang diberikan kerajaan.

Pendapatan yang diterima pada 9 Julai tidak wajar "diusik", katanya.

Katanya penjawat awam juga sewajarnya terus membuat bayaran perbelanjaan bulanan bagi Ogos seperti ansuran rumah, kereta, taska anak, kad kredit kerana realitinya gaji yang diterima pada 9 Julai adalah untuk bulan Ogos.

Beliau berkata, sekiranya seseorang itu tidak dapat menahan nafsu melihat baki simpanan dalam bank berlebihan, sebaiknya wang itu dipindahkan ke akaun lain yang tidak mempunyai kad ATM seperti Tabung Haji atau Amanah Simpanan Bumiputera (ASB).

"Apabila cukup kitaran gaji seperti biasa, bolehlah anda mengeluarkan wang ini seperti biasa untuk kegunaan pada bulan Ogos," katanya.

Ahmad Humaizi turut menyarankan orang ramai mengelak daripada mengunjungi pasaraya pada saat-saat akhir bagi mengelak fenomena membeli barangan yang tidak diperlukan kerana kegembiraan untuk beraya seringkali mengatasi logik kebiasaan.

"Walaupun raya setahun sekali, takkan kerana Syawal kita bakal merana dari segi kewangan pada bulan-bulan seterusnya. Biarlah bersederhana," katanya.

Sementara itu, penjawat awam Siti Hanom Hamdan, 34, berkata beliau akan mengasingkan terlebih dahulu komitmen bulanan seperti sewa rumah, perbelanjaan harian dan ibu sebaik sahaja menerima gaji pada Julai depan.

"Saya juga bercadang pindahkan sebahagian besar daripada gaji awal itu ke akaun lain," kata Penolong Penerbit Rancangan, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) itu.

Siti Nurfauzani Idrus, 33, yang berkhidmat sebagai Pembantu Tadbir (Perkeranian/Operasi) di Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia Sabah juga merancang memindahkan wang gaji berkenaan ke akaun ASB, jika perlu.

But I think not only govt worker, private oso sometimes get a bit early (not so early lah)... but what do ya'll think? Is it good or bad for worker? Even better, if you is it good or bad?

WTA: Tindakan Mahkamah letter over parking saman

Hi guys,

I posted this in an old thread by accident and realised it might be the wrong place. Just want to ask if anyone received this letter b4?

I have never receive b4 until now. They say got 1 MBPJ saman for parking I never pay in 2013 so must go to majistrate court.

I am not sure if there's anything I must do. It seems so mah fun to do whole majistrate process over 1 parking saman of RM100. I got no issue paying; I just didn't know I had this saman and they never sent any letter telling me about it until now.

I hope it's ok to post this question here.

I am wondering how much everyone spends on their hobbies a month. I am a doll collector and I know doll collectors can spend up to RM30,000 a year (well-off collectors of course!) on dolls.

Does salary/wealth matter when you find gf/bf?

For me it's not but I have many friends who tell if the guy got lot money then very good.

But I thnk it's not necessary - as long as he's trying to work to make an honest living...

New BNM Guidelines on loans

What do you guys think about the new guidelines? (no more pre-approved loan frm developer; 35 max tenure for housing loan and 10 yr max tenure for personal loan)

It doesn't really affect me much but I think it misses the point. People's debt are not increasing because loans are easy to get: it is because houses and cars are so expensive and cost of living is increasing but wages aren't. I think this isn't going to help the rakyat much at all but it'll just make the loan numbers look better in statistics....

Have you or anyone you know taken out a personal loan to fund like your CNY, Hari Raya, Christmas.. etc celebrations?

I just wanted to ask your opinion : what would be the items you would always pay full price for? Items you believe that you 'get what you pay for' and so you won't be so concerned with price.

Personally I think car repairs and baby products...
