method of constructing gate pillars

I've been reading through the forums but couldn't find relevant info on the construction of gate pillars.

I know there must be reinforced steel footing for the gate pillars first. What I am wondering whether its fine to go by this method, i. e.; steel footing foundation, then put in hollow gate pillar moulds before pouring cement into the hollow gate pillars.

Would this be all right to carry the load of iron gate?
Hello all,

I was quoted 3.5k for roof top waterproofing for maintenance service as the house in question is a subsale and has never seen any renovation before.

I asked what kind of maintenance work for the roof top waterproofing and was told that the contractor will go up to the roof to check the condition of the roof to determine if it is in good condition or not and do the protection coating for the roof top.

Is the price reasonable for this roof top waterproofing maintenance service?

Polish service for existing concrete flooring

Hello all.

I know the topic of concrete floorings have come up several times in this forum but not enough answers from what I have looked through.

I am now looking for those in JB area who can polish existing concrete flooring as I would like to minimize any unnecessary costs and to retain the natural beauty of concrete flooring actually.

The current state of the property: Original and non-renovated condition as previous owners had never renovated it. So it comes with bare concrete or cement flooring whichever it is.

For any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it and would be glad for any indicative pricing/costs per sq ft if any.

Must do wall tile for kitchen?

Need some advise on kitchen tiling.

I was told that it is better to tile up the kitchen walls because of the smoke from cooking getting on the walls. Can anyone advise?

This is my first time I hear of it and was wondering if it is better to tile the walls as well or put a wall backsplash infront of the cooking hob area.
