Ping to Router - 300MS on day, 1-5ms at night.
Bandwidth - Maximum as subscribed
Frequent Disconnection and Lag Spike - Yes.

Hello, I need some advice here.

I am currently living in condo and my Time broadband fiber optic is installed beside my main power switch. Hence my router is there too. I am thinking if I would like to move my router to somewhere else, let's say my living room, can I just use the home plug to connect between them? Is there any disadvantages? I am aware of 3-phase electricity too.

The main reason why I want to do this because my condo has too many Wifis around. Hence, the interference is very high here. If I would buy a dual band router, I might need to move my router to the center of my condo so I can fully utilize the 5GHz coverage.

Currently, I am thinking of TP-Link Archer C9 router, but there's another model available which is TP-Link Archer D9 router. The price difference is around RM 100ish but I am not sure what's the difference between these 2 routers.

Any expert comments are much appreciated.

No Display when playing RMVB/AVI/MPEG on TV

Hi experts,

As title above, I need some input on why I can't see the video when I double click my video files.

Yes, I can see my desktop on TV but it is blank when playing those videos. If I use my normal CRT Monitors, it works normally.

My computer is Intel Celeron 3.0 built in with ATI Radeon 200 Series.

Streamyx Connected, but No Dial Tone.

Hi guys,
Is anyone encountered such problem before?

I can connect to Internet but I cannot use my normal phone to call out because it doesn't have dial tone. I have changed 3 phones and 1 line but the result is still the same.

I also made a direct connect with telephone to the box. No joy.

This is the 1st time I encountered such situation. Anyone can help me please advise.

1 Printer with 2 different settings

Hi everyone,

Currently, I have a printer with 2 different settings. In Printers Folder, I have:

Printer A -- <Set as Default Printer>
- Paper Type : Letter

Printer A (Copy 2)
- Paper Type : A4

When I want to print using Internet Explorer, I select Printer A (Copy 2) to print my documents. However, the paper type setting doesn't change as it is still set to 'Letter', not 'A4'.

I tried to set Printer A (Copy 2) as default printer. It is set to 'A4' when I select Printer A as my printer

Is there any way that I can solve this problem? Please guide me if you have any.

First occurence of problem: At night few days ago
Problem frequency: Every night
Problem description:

You see, I tried to download several big files from Internet. I couldn't successfully download it at midnight (about 12am++ onwards) but I could during the day, even on the peak hours.

So I decided to make a ping test. Here are the results:

Midnight, 100 pings, 20 Request timed out.
Daytime, Peak hours, 100 pings, 0 Request timed out.

Download speed on both situations are okay(40-50Kbs).

I even tried to reconnect the Streamyx during midnight. it gave me the same result. However, I wouldn't get the daytime result until I repeat the process in the morning/afternoon.

It's defeniately not my line problem or something. So I am wondering if TMnut is doing that purposely to crack down the downloders or what..

I would like to hear any suggestions. Thanks alot.
