Need advice on post-resignation

Hi all..i just need some advice on these matters.. here are my situation~

recently i have resign my current job at local company.. i give exactly 14 days notice before i leave. problem is my company policy is for me to give 2 months notice. here are my question.

1) According to my contract during the probation period, i only need to give 14 days notice to the company. So after 6 months, they say i've been promoted to permanent staff by increasing by salary and verbally talk to me (However no new contract was given, although i have ask them few times already). so is the previous contract still valid? or i have breach the contract by not giving 2 months notice?

2) During my resignation, i have not received any letter for accepting my resignation. 14 days passed and i already got a new jobs but still haven't received any news until now. Should i ask for the letter?

3) lastly, since they expect me to give 2 months notice, they decide to hold my last salary. is that legal?

hye there. i'm a newbie here. i would like some advice from pro.
I'm a student at local uni. i have intention to invest in the market. however i have only about RM 3000 in my bank. after reading few post mostly they recommended in investing at unit trust as my capital are too low. so the question is

1) what is the first thing i need to know if i want to invest in Unit Trust
2) Any platform that allow me to access such activity
3) recommendation on type of unit trust
