Netload User Experience

Searched the section for a netload specific thread but couldnt find one so what the heck, I created one..

Would like to ask fellow netload users, whats the average download speeds you guys are getting?

I use to get full speed at 450kbps a few months back, then i stopped using netload premium..
2 days ago i got a new netload premium voucher and used it..
Now the download speed barely touches the 100kpbs mark..

Anyone knows why?
I hope its not TM screwing us with its throttling or something..
Other sites are fast though on my 4mb streamyx acc..

What about changing DNS.. does this help?

And currently i'm stuck with an IP range of 218.111.3.XXX.
Thats the IP range i only get when i connect to their nodes..

i've been using coldfusion since day one when i graduated in 2000 and after more then 10 years in it i see that the coldfusion market is not growing but is becoming smaller and smaller.. its now a really niche market and i wished i didnt go into this language from the start... any other coldfusioners out here?

Hi everyone..
my 2 year old son just got chicken pox a few days ago..
i've already met a doctor who recommended we see the chicken pox thru at its fullest with no anti viral medication..
my friends on the other hand have been recommending me to get anti virals for my boy so that he doesnt have that many blisters all over his body..
i am torn.. my doctor says let him suffer now so he wont get the pox again in the future.. while at the same time its sad to see my son suffering..

what do you guys think? also has anyone tried giving the antiviral and later (months later) your kid contract the chicken pox again?

this is a company issued laptop so the problems i'm sharing is not a unique prob but common as its recurring on the same type of laptop among my colleagues..

first of the the SD card reader doesnt work from day one.. No matter how much driver install/uninstall/reinstall with various so called fixes, it just wont work.. it does work tho if the laptop is running linux so its definitely a windows driver prob..

secondly.. the keyboard starts having buttons that became loose.. later if you push them back in.. it becomes stuck and less responsive.. some key push didnt get registered too..

third.. fingerprint reader.. very useful as my laptop has auto lock if left unattended for just 1 minute Works great for the first few months but then it completely fails..

if there are other users of this laptop who manage to overcome the problems above, please do share your findings..

for those planning to get a thinkpad.. the t520 is the latest one.. mine is the t500.. hmmmm.. i would suggest getting something else.

hi forumers..

need your feedback on my laptop..
its an old dell inspiron 1300 bought online from dell in 2005..

i gave it to my sis for her studies..
the 1st to go faulty was the battery..
so she took out the batteries and just plug the power adaptor directly when want to use it..
just this week even the adaptor is not working anymore..

i tried plugging in the faulty battery back and use it with the adaptor..
the laptop manage tu stay on for 5 secs before dying again..
worse is when i touch anything metal at the back or side ports like vga, network or usb, i get a minor electric shock!

can this be fixed by just getting a new battery and power adaptor?
or is this laptop considered to expensive to fix? (if there are anything else wrong with it)
