Recommend before next gen iPhone

Hi guys,

My iDigi88 contract (rm60/month) just ended and now have to pay full.
Would like to ask for help, which telco/plans is recommended to have before i would take the iPhone plan before the next gen iPhone release.

Criteria for the plan is:
1. I can still use my current number (with the recommended plan and can also use MNP to use the future iPhone plan)
2. Internet access.
3. minor use for calls/sms
4. cheap and easy.

Was planning to get DiGi® Easy Prepaid for RM16.80 + RM18 (Internet) - Digi Easy Prepaid
Or DG SmartPlan™ 50 (RM50) which i assume easier and quick to apply. - Digi smartplan50

[WTA] What to make old mobo have USB 3.0

I have an old mobo GA-X58A-UD7 (rev. 1.0) which only have usb 3.0 at the back panel.
My casing support usb 3.0 at the front i/o ports.
What item should i get to make my casing usb 3.0 front i/o port to work?

Currently using Cosmos Pure and i find its too big for me.
Looking for a mid tower with simple design which i find above choices looks nice for me.
Im using mobo Gigabyte X58 UD7, GC Sapphire 5870 and CM Silent Pro 1000w.

Please vote and give me some say about it.
Would be great if you can share ur experience on the case if u actually owned one of the case.

The poll is not releven anymore i guess...since my choices come to 3 case:
1. Fractal Design Define R4 (cons: very very HEAVY, HDD drive not tooless...but can tolerate tongue.gif )
2. Corsair Obsidian 550D (cons: prefer usb/power button on top of case...also its not black sweat.gif )
3. Lian Li PC-7HX (cons: no dust filter on the side panel...unsure it has enough room for cable management)

Now confuse rclxub.gif between these....but also still open for other recommendation if any.

Preference:
1. Got dust filters
2. Simple design
3. Easy to swap HDD
4. mid tower that can support mobo Gigabyte X58 UD7, GC Sapphire 5870
5. Gonna put the case on my desk, soo i guess should be not too heavy
6. Silent is a plus

Hi....

I have Tuxera to read my NTFS external HDDs (3.5" using USB2.0) with my MBP. Got this error for a partition of one of the HDD:

Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disk2s1
at /Volumes/TVSeries03 because the following problem occurred:

Aligned I/O enabled.
CBCIO enabled.
WARNING: ReadFully - I/O error while reading from file (5: "Input/output error")
WARNING: failed at: pread(3, 0x100303400, 65536, 3221226496);
WARNING: bytesRead=0
ntfs_attr_pread_i: ntfs_pread failed: Input/output error
Failed to read of MFT, mft=1 count=1 br=-1: Input/output error
Failed to open inode $MFTMirr: Input/output error
Failed to load $MFTMirr: Input/output error
Failed to mount '/dev/rdisk2s1': Input/output error
NTFS is either inconsistent, or there is a hardware fault, or it's a
SoftRAID/FakeRAID hardware. In the first case run chkdsk /f on Windows
then reboot into Windows twice. The usage of the /f parameter is very
important! If the device is a SoftRAID/FakeRAID then first activate
it and mount a different device under the /dev/mapper/ directory, (e.g.
/dev/mapper/nvidia_eahaabcc1). Please see the 'dmraid' documentation
for more details.

My other HDDs also NTFS, but didnt have this error message. The issue only occurs with a partition of a HDD and in it only has my collection of animes (*avi, *.mkv, *.zip)
If I open with other notebook using Windows, the partition is there and have no issue at all.

Please help how can I resolve this to make my MBP able to read the partition of this HDD.

Hi guys,

Would like to know which is the best choice and what are the pro/cons of choosing between these 3 cars based on below:

These car are being offered by known car owners (soo know that they maintain their car very well) + great bargain + with RM75k cash ready to buy a car and dont want to invest.
1. Preve Premium (New - worth rm72k)
2. Mitsubishi Lancer (used 2008 - offered rm70k)
3. Toyota Vios E + bodykit, sound system and more accesories (used 2008 - offered rm60k)

Please share some insight on the cars, the maintenance or any thing that I should know about.
Im not a car person and the car is mainly for weekly use with the family.

Upgrade PC hardware but with same HDD

Hi gurus,

I upgrade proc, mobo, gc and ram but I want to use my old hdd with windows 7 without do fresh installation of windows 7....except mayb to install driver of the new hardware. Is it possible?

I dont want to do fresh install because dont want to re-install softwares & and do setting...also i buy a software that can be installed once only.

Please help....

NEED HELP for laptop recommendation

Hi sifus,

Need recommendation on buying a solid built & quality laptop. Better to have less issues like heat, gc driver and battery if possible

1. Brand - More like towards lenovo/asus/dell
2. Budget - around 2.3k --> getting 4 or 5 units probably and will buy end of this month or next month.
3. Size - 14~15 inch
4. Usage - an all rounder but its mainly for office use (graphical design & programming) but with a bit of light gaming & entertainment

Ive been looking around and come up with these option:
1. Lenovo Z470 = i5-2410M + Nvidia GT520M
2. Asus N43SL = i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M
3. Dell Vostro 3450 = i5-2410M + Intel HD3000
4. Dell Vostro 3550 = i5-2410M + Intel HD3000
5. Toshiba Satellite L755-1009X = i5-2410M + Nvidia GT525M

Im sure that Dell sales after service is very very good but how about others like Lenovo and Asus?

Looking forward with your comments and still open for other suggestions
