PS3 YLOD, What to do?!

Okay, my ps3 has the YLOD problem.. My PS3 is the 60GB phat model. 4++ years of age.

I've been surfing the net for solutions, and found Gilsky's method pretty realiable.

Problem is, I also went to shops around KL, and all of them said to just get a new PS3 because after a while, the problem resurfaces.

I need advice guys...

I would want to know if there are any forumers who have tried fixing their PS3 themselves using Gilsky's method, or sent to the shop for repair or reballing.. I would also want to know if ur PS3 had YLOD again.

Should i try fixing it, send it for repair, OR just get a brand new PS3??

HELPP!
