Selling my iPad Air 1 128GB WiFi+4G White

Condition: 9/10. Completely perfect, except for:
- Very fine scratch near lightning port (extremely light surface scratch, cannot feel with finger, almost cannot see). See photo.
- Very small 3mm dent on lower left front corner bezel. See photo.
- Side switch a bit loose, can activate when lightly brushing against it. Please note the side switch is not needed to use the iPad (in fact, newer iPad models don't even have the side switch anymore).
Those are the ONLY problems. Other than that, condition is perfect and everything works fine. ZERO scratches on screen or back. Screen and back look completely brand new.

Where to sell jewelry?

Hey girls,

Wonder if anyone here has any advice:

I have a completely unused diamond ring that I need to sell. Been sitting on it for years, think I should get rid of it now!

It's certified etc. If I had to guess something similar is maybe worth RM10k+ new in the big jewelry shop chains.

Any ideas on the best way/method to try and sell it? Taking it to the big jewelry shops or a pawn shop is the last resort, because I don't think I'll get a great price for it there. No rush to sell.

Transfer of property within family

If my father wants to transfer a property that is currently in his name to me, what is the most effective and cheapest way of doing it (without writing a will and waiting for him to pass away)?

The property is leasehold (30 years remaining), Shah Alam, market value around RM1.5m. No oustanding finance or encumbrances.

I have not found a local money changer that will change this currency, so unless you know someone who will change for you, this is best used if you are holidaying in the Maldives soon or if you are a collector.

2) I have a spare unlocked Nokia E71 without a SIM card

If I put the Celcom SIM card in the E71, will I be able to use the 3G connection on the E71?

Hello everyone,

Seems to be a lot of knowledgeable people on here.

I am self-employed - earn on average a minimum of 10k p/month. I'm 29 and still living at home with my parents!

Will probably get married in the next two or three years, but ignore that for now.

I am seriously thinking about buying my first property to rent out rather than just wasting my money on stupid things, but as a first-time buyer I am looking for a pretty "safe" experience. Easy-to-find renters, high yield, good potential for capital growth. Budget is probably in the range of RM300k to RM500k. I would also prefer a central area (KL/PJ/Damansara), rather than in the outskirts. I don't necessarily want to move in to this property after marriage, so that is not a concern.

Any strong recommendations from the experts on here? I am guessing that given my budget and plans to rent it out, condos/apartments are the best bet.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

HELP ME CHOOSE: Combo 4MB or Fixed IP 4MB?

Help me choose guys - upgrade Streamyx for my house:

1) Streamyx Combo 4mbps - RM160
2) Business Broadband 4mbps - RM691

I don't need the fixed IP. The only consideration to me is this:

a) I want the performance to be good.
b) Maybe it is easier for me to bodek the technician to set account cap of higher than 4mb if I get the business broadband.

I can afford RM691. Currently I am paying RM688! But if the combo performance is good, then no point wasting over RM500!

What do you think???

Hey guys,

I'm just looking for some advice.

I have been running on a 2MB Streamyx Enterprise account for some years now. Connection is good - on Rapidshare or Newsgroups, I can max out my connection anytime 24/7. The only problem is the connection is costing nearly RM700 a month (HUGE amount of money!).

I have been thinking about changing to a 4MB home package. Would this be better? If I use a VPN, will I still be able to max a 4MB connection without problems?

Sync Speeds Suddenly Dropped After Storm

Hey guys,

I'm on Enterprise with 3MB down (3072kbps) and 512K up.

Has been fine for years.

After a thunderstorm yesterday, the modem now syncs at around 1MB down (1024kbps or 1088kbps) and at 288kbps up.

What happened? The storm was yesterday evening, but it's still syncing slow.

No audible noise on the phone line.

Could there be a modem fault?

Last time in the old days Digi Prepaid used to show the balance on the screen all the time. So, underneath the word "Digi", will be "RM6.75" for example.

Is there any operator that still does this?

Or if not, any operator that sends an instant service message to the phone once the call ends that shows the balance?

I live in Shah Alam, and I have a Kawai that hasn't been tuned in three years and is sounding really bad (so bad I just can't play it). It's going to take a few treatments to get it back up to consistent pitch again - was wondering whether anyone could recommend a good tuner for the job? I don't mind paying a little more for someone who really knows what they are doing.

I am running TMNet Business Broadband 2MB package, but when I first subscribed (over three years ago) they gave me 3MB, and so far it has been 3MB all the way, and it is reliable and fast.

Is there anyone I can call to see if they can increase it to 4MB for me? A small fee would be acceptable...
