Is there RPGT or stamp duty in this case?

If A and B are equal shareholders of Company X and Company X holds a property worth RM3 million (purchased 3 years ago), and A and B decide to sell the property to C and D. If they just transfer the shares in Company X to C and D by signing the share transfer forms, the questions are :-

1) Is there a need to pay RPGT? It seems like NO because there is no SPA and only transfer of shares.

2) Is there a need to pay stamp duty for the sale? No right? Cause there is no SPA!

Now, isn't this a wonderful way to sell properties you own? By the way, Company X only holds 1 property and has no other business activities. Would like to hear where I am wrong. I am sure I am wrong some where.

Hotel Room Bed Size

Most hotels have option of a king size bed or 2 single beds for a standard room. May I know, can 4 people sleep in a room with 2 single beds? Are the single beds big enough?

I Know Someone Who Earns A High Salary

I know there is already a salary thread but it is mostly for people to talk about their own salaries and since there are many young workers, we do not have an indication of what senior managers are earning. Why do we want to know? Because, it helps us to plan our career ahead.

It would be nice if you specify the age, industry and position of the person. And, of course, include the salary too. Please do not guess. It must be quite reliable.

Reliable sources often can come from relatives/siblings/friends/colleagues or even HR department in any company. We need more transparency.

If possible, please do not include those CEOs of public companies with pay package running into millions per annum.

Strictly salaries only. No business income.

Here we go.

Age: 53
Industry: IT
Position: Sales Director
Income: RM20k

Loan interest rate revision?

I have a loan taken 3 years ago at about BLR-0.5. Is it possible to ask the same bank to revise it to say BLR-2.2? If yes, does it mean I have to execute a new loan agreement with the bank? How is this different from refinancing? Maybe it is the same but refinancing involves a higher loan amount so that you can cash out the "excess"?

Thanks

Double fire insurance?

I bought a property from subsale. Management charged fire insurance about rm200. I took a loan from HSBC and they bought fire insurance and charged me rm700. Few questions:-

1) Why the fire insurance by management office so much cheaper?
2) When I took loan from HSBC, the SA says later can apply to waive the fire insurance from bank once I prove that the property is already covered. Question is what will happen if I have 2 fire insurances? Is it important to cancel one?
3) Has anybody here actually got their banks to waive the fire insurance and if yes, what did you do? (the process)

Thanks

Working in Commercial Banks

Is it advisable to work for commercial banks? That is, pursue a career within the banking industry excluding investment banking. I know investment banking pays good but what about commercial banks? What sort of pay can one expect if one reaches the middle to high management at about 35 to 45 years old. Positions like associate vice presidents, vice presidents, general manager etc. Any ideas? I think a career in the banking industry should be quite stable.

Is World Mastercard/Visa Infinite the best?

It seems CIMB has free annual fee but Maybank ones charge rm1500 per annum. Wonder what is so great about these cards? I checked the websites, nothing much except if you play golf. If free annual fee like CIMB ones, can we ask the bank to upgrade platinum to world/infinite based on good payment record? any forumers using these cards?
