ADT alarm temination

Guys,

I am planning to terminate my ADT alarm after almost 4 years of subscription. The idea is to get the CCTV installed so that I can monitor the house myself once the alarm triggered.
The question is can I make use the existing ADT alarm system to send the alert to my mobile instead? Called ADT but as expected they claimed can't do it but must be some way to just pointing the alert to my cell phone instead of the monitoring center. Anyone can help or share any experience? Thanks..
