Packet Loss from IP Range 124.x.x.x

Hey everyone, I'm collecting information about this particular network 124.x.x.x IP range I've been getting from TM Streamyx. My problem isn't really with the speed and what not but the crazy amount of packet loss I'm getting towards certain places. This packet loss isn't really disrupting my day to day surfing, in fact downloading, surfing, watching youtubes, it's all okay. It's just .. certain applications that's latency sensitive like gaming.. or skype, that's really horrible.

I would really really like to get more information and possibly lodge a collective complain to Tmnet about this but I would like to get more information from you guys if anyone's interested in this endeavor.

Can you guys who's stuck on this IP range help me out with some information on your connection such as..

Would you be willing to help lodge a complain to TM hotline : Yes/No

Please do a controlled testing - this means no other equipment should be connected to your network - if possible do a direct connection to your modem from your PC/Laptop - or at least turn off everything else.

Personally I've been consistently getting 10-15% packet loss to their DNS itself. I've no packet loss to the gateway itself which means my link is okay, and there's something wrong somewhere in their internal network. To the US ? An atrocious 30-40% packet loss. I can live with having 5% packet loss but this is crazy - and it's consistent, it's not really about congestion. Having been someone who's worked in the data center itself, I know sometimes network characteristics such as packet losses are not actively monitored - and hence I would really like to bring this to TM's attention if possible - but I suppose they'll only respond if they get a large volume of complaints.. this is where I could use some help.

Would welcome any suggestions and feedback regarding this idea. I know it's a longshot but .. well, I'm out of options really.

So how to run these test?

Just get to your dos prompt/linux prompt/whatever prompt and run the following

ping <ip address> -n 100
(if you can run more than 100 pings that'd be great too)

(This is just an example ping I run from outside...you could say it's a pretty damn fast data center connection )

That's all there is to it. Hope to hear from you guys.

NOTE : IF THERE IS SOMEONE FROM TM LOCAL BACKBONE TEAM LOOKING AT THIS... HELP US!
