Which Bank to open an Account with?

Hi Dear LYN forumers,

I need more information regarding banks and their charges in Malaysia. I understand that this information can be obtained from the respective branches, but the details all seem to be in small print/hidden/customer service too busy to answer.. (plus this would save me the trouble to go to each individual bank )

So, a couple of questions:

1. Which bank offers the best rate for daily banking needs? (cash transactions, credit cards, cheques, online banking, etc)

2. Which bank has good share trading services? Please give details on their trading fees.
also I have some shares held in overseas CREST account, anyone know if any local banks would accept holdings transfer from CREST?

3. Which is the best bank overall? What do you recommend?

Bottom line is a need a bank offering easy access to daily bank services and share trading all at a low fee.

I apologise if any of the above questions have already been answered in other posts. I did check the stickies though.
perhaps I should just start a poll to see which bank LYN members mostly use?
