i was thinking if its a good idea to start a referral tread here , where every member can refer clients to business people here and get a little commission here and there .
i see lots of young people who wants to start some business here, may be they can be freelance agents .

hi guys i've recently started up an engraving and cutting business running for 4 months already.

started my own business

I've started a business not long ago . basically , my intention is to help ppl to chase deadlines and simple production .
the technology has been around for a while , but i'm using the same technology to approach a different niche market instead of
competing with other big players who already secured a hi position in the market . why ?

1. i'm a young in the business world , n i do not have big funds and " army" to fight the big players
2. i think its better for me n my small little team to avoid fighting the big boys for the gold mine they have been always fighting for .
instead , i look for alternative which is good enough for my company to survive and expand .

now the problem i'm facing now is

1. i cant focus on the targeted market , n tend to swing into lots of different industry to offer our little service here and there
because we have to do what eva we can do with our service to earn some $ here and there .
2. marketing - i'm planning some cost effective but slow field marketing instead of expensive mass communication ( cuz i do not know how effective the respond would be )
3. My targeted market is very seasonal - i'll get loads of customers flocking up my place and most of the time will be quiet . (should i find a daily source of income ?)
4. running low on budget as i invested a lot setting up my office . ( i'm not a millionaire , i pulled myself off the working force n create an opportunity for myself )
5. i cant get business loan as this is my first business and banks only offer business loan for companies that survive atleast 2 years .
6. i need to speed up and grow my business in a short period of time , and its hard because its relatively a new concept and it needs time to grow and i do not have
a strong team and man power .

things that i have done

1. i've tied up with a bigger company with more equipped technology , so i can take up projects that i cant handle by my team .
2. done some weak online marketing , and some ground marketing of our service , business is picking up but still very slow .
3. i'm creating a network of businesses from different industries that requires my service and link them up when they need each other
( i'm doing it so my clients see more value in my service instead of providing our core service only )
4. still building up my website , n planning to direct traffic there .

to all experience business ppl out there . no matter what business u r running , i'm willingly to learn from u guys as i believe that every different nature of businesses need the same
principle and strategy to succeed ( just different approach) . pls advice , thank u . or call me for a drink XP hahhaa
