Cancelling Car Loan

Hello all,

Let's say, I take a car loan for about 9 years. So, suddenly on the 3rd year, I got a huge sum of money, let's say bequeathed by a rich uncle, and I decided to cancel my loan and repay the remaining sum by cash.

So, is that possible? And do I have to pay the remaining principals ONLY, or principals plus interest?

I hope I made myself clear. Thank you.

ASB Maybank Loan

Hello everyone.

Yes, I know about the thread up there, but I'm just creating this topic so that it will be noticed easier rather than be buried in the mountain of posts.

Quick question: right now Maybank is offering a loan for ASB for BLR - 1.65%, and the offer is valid until 30 June 2011 only.

So if I take a loan this week, for example, and after 30 June 2011 suddenly the new loan offer would be something like BLR + 1%, would that mean I have to repay my current loan based on BLR - 1.65%, or BLR + 1% ?

That's all, cheers!
How to learn Chinese and/or Japanese?

Greetings everyone,

I believe this is the correct place to post this, since it is essentially "education" anyway.

The thing is, I have this little weakness of learning new languages, and currently the only two languages that I'm pretty proficient at is in English and Malay, and that is because I'm exposed to them since a very young age.

So, I believe that I would be able to enhance my marketability by being able to SPEAK Chinese and/or Japanese. I set a goal for myself to be at least good enough to understand and converse with the native speakers in those 2 languages in 2 YEARS' TIME, and my free time is every night + Sunday, so I don't think that is such a lofty goal.

So anyway! Any of you got any recommendations on where do I start? The Internet is such a VAST treasure trove of information, that I tend to get overloaded with information sometimes.
