People who mix with their lover's close friends

Anyone ever experience this,
Where when you're alone with your bf/gf, they talk differently, maybe more fond to been themselve,
While you're mixing with his/her close friend with him/her around,
He/she act very different to the point you can't actually cope with the their alter persona?
Isn't close friend are more buddy than a lover and actually makes u feel homely and doesn't need to wear the mask of disguise?
I emphasize on the word close friend because I do know some people don't show their real personality with common friend.

This is not a case of mine, but a general question to those who have or never have encounter this issues,
My question is, do you feel comfortable and do you have to pretend to be someone else so that u can blend in his/her play?

My friend is looking for a i5 laptop, and we see fairly same specs from a few models with 4gb ram, 1gb video card, and 350-500gb hdd.
