I want to get a TV box for my parents in hometown, currently using unifi VIP5.

What I need from this box:
1. can be customized, which mean can jailbreak and install 3rd party apps for more future proof
2. Unfortunately our hometown TV doesnt support HDMI, and I am not capable to change a whole new TV. So is there any TV box can support RGB or maybe I can get hdmi to RGB cable ?

Hi all, currently using VIP5 UNIFI and wonder which router is best to limit bandwidth as per IP and MAC. Because there are 6 of us using(my family), and more than 10 devices connected at the same time(PC, phone, tablet etc). Previously I have educate them not abuse the network usage, like watching youtube 1080P and open several tabs at the same time, then background torrenting, bear in mind that not just one person doing so.

Currently my budget is around <500. Just want to have features to limit bandwidth as per IP/MAC address.

Currently come across this TP-Link TL-WR1043ND V2

Is there any better options or this is it? or cheaper alternative router with lower price. Thanks

I just got a second hand 3 years old car, it is my first car, so I have to learn how to maintain the car from now on.

What thing need to put under maintenance list , when to do , and how ?

I have compile a list that I knew

1. gearbox oil
2. engine oil
3. Brake fluid
4. Brake pad
5. Power steering fluid
6. water tank(Coolant)
7. spark plug
8. air-filter and air-condition
9. Tyre air pressure

Anything else to add to this list ? Btw, you can share your own maintenance schedule by giving out your own list, when to do:every X mileage/year , how: DIY/shop/SC as reference, thanks

I am single and the usage of the car mainly for city driving, need to get a sedan car.

1. new Saga Flx executive 1.3
2. used vios/city
3 Any other suggestion

I found a used vios from car dealer nearby, 2007 1.5E Vios, 45k. But I am not sure which one to take, Vios is good because it is japanese car , but , it is 7 years old already.Or sifus have any other suggestion ?

Currently I am using thermaltake Commander MS-I, which is not good enough for my current need. It does have holes for cable management, but right side DOESNT have clearance for place those cables,the gap is just less than 1cm, so the holes are BASICALLY USELESS. I stretch up until Rm500 because I believe chassis can last VERY LONG TIME, and wont easily outdated.

my requirement
1) the side panel gap must big enough to fit those cables
2) Good airflow, possible if comes with dust filter
3) Height clearance, currently I have a noctua D14, and it is barely FIT

4) convenient, no need screw driver to lock the chasis, HDD, SSD

I saw Corsair 400R,500R, C70. These 3 are very nice, which one would you choose ? or you have better suggestion other than these 3 ? please suggest me, thanks

I have a AP set two years old HTC desire, everything is working fine except the mic sometimes not working properly, when I phone, otherwise cant hear clearly, they said very soft voice. And the another problem is, vibrator is not working. Any idea ?

I hang around hardware and hardware question and ask , overclock united and etc . Seeing many forumers asking the thing that can easier obtain from google . Like the specification , they need people copy and paste to show them . Or asking how to overclock . Many result can learn from google , they can ask if they dont understand the procedure . They want want people to do the google search , then feed them . Posted a thread and wait for 1 or 2 days to get reply , where the question can be solved by google search in less than 30 minutes . Search function is there and they also not willing to use , I saw the same topic were ask in the same week , in the same page ! They can ask question , but learn the basic first with google, then ask whatever dont understand . Always ask :"what is Sandy bridge ?" "What is K series processor ?"
I hope i wont offence anyone , lolz . I just saying if the question can be solved on your own , please do it , instead of relying someone to help you .

To GTX580 or GTX570 ?

As we know the GPU are getting phased out very fast , probably in one year or so . My main goal is , play any games max setting , 1920x1080 , 2 or 4 xAA , . Now only using 1 monitor but will be using 2 monitor in the future for multi tasking environment , but playing games only on 1 monitor. Planning to get GTX580 lightning for more future proof, but I found out GTX570 already can max out any games right now . Except metro 2033 , poorly coded , now people just for benchmark purpose . I want to make the money most cost effective. I planning to change GPU card every 2 3 years if needed, resell the old one while it still have the value, then get a new one. Rather than getting an expensive card and wait 3 4 years to change . So I thinking getting gtx 570 that can serve me well in coming 2 3 years , then resell it for next G gpu. GTX580 lighting are Rm4xx 5xx expensive than GTX570 ... I thought of SLI before , but seeing many problem like drivers not release for SLI , DX11 not supported when the games newly release , not supported by new games , etc etc.

FYI , current rig is 2600K , seasonic silencer 750W

Any suggestion ? SLi in future ? or 570 ? 580 ? hmm ?

This PSU is originally sell by PC power but now under Seasonic . Because there is no specification I can find under Seasonic web site , I went topc power to check on the spec.Downloaded the specsheet (here)and found that it has only 2 SATA connector ? Ops , I have 1 dvd drive and 2 hdds. There might another sata device in the future . So anyone got the seasonic Silencer 750W spec ? want to confirm about this . Might change to Silverstone ST70F for better spec in cables, eg :6 x SATA connector .

hyper 212 plus with 2 Arctic F12 pull/push

casing fans
1 F12 fans install on side panel blowing GTX 570 , 1 F12 fans install on top for intake air <<< let hyper 212 sucks fresh air

Thermalright silver arrow (My friend can get in US for a fair price)

My budget can either purchase both of them. So with a superb cooler like silver arrow , do we necessarily to install more fans to improve airflow ? Big difference ? What I mean is better get a good cooler rather install 1 or 2 more extra fans to increase airflow in order to cooldown CPU.

I wish to oc i5 2500k to 4.0ghz . I just need a affordable p67 mobo for mild OC , thus I just have around Rm49X for the p67 mobo. So MSI-P67A-C45 B3 or Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 will be a better choice ? Consider specification, features or problem exist(example OC problem) , any you can mention . Or you have a better suggestion ? Thanks

1)Previously I aim for hyper 212 plus for my i5 2500k, but some said scythe ninja 3 is a better option .I will change the stock fan on cooler to Arctic F12. I just want to overclock i5 2500k to 4.0ghz , no more higher than that, so 212+ is sufficient for this 4.0ghz or need a scythe ninja 3 ? If the cooling difference on 4.0ghz is minimal then I will opt for 212+ because cheaper . what is your suggestion ?

consider the situation if you need
i)my room dont have aircon , have windows
ii) I on my pc for at least 8 hours , max 15 . But in not continuously , sometime i go out , got let it shutdown 2 3 hours.
iii) also can consider my casing airflow (noted I already decided to get this casing) with 3 arctic fans installed
iv)1 arctic fan change on stock cooler.
v) use tuniz TX-3 thermal paste

2) the mentioned MSI or gigabyte p57 , which one is a better option as p67 OC board ? I did saw some bad comments about MSI-P67A-C45 but dont know the guy is out of luck or what.
