Floppy disk

At the moment got nearly 200 3.5" floppy disk here that I'm thinking to dispose. Already gave around 80 of it to someone already, plenty of those still left.

5.25" disk I got around 100 of it but that prolly will still kept for some time.

Any advise how to properly dispose that or just toss it in the bin? Sohai e-waste company here in Sabah didn't want to take it last time. Any salvage value, does the shutter can be removed and sell for scrap metal/aluminium?

Plan to just degausse and just forget about it. External floppy drive seems not working and there's too many of it to go thru.

We Feel Relieved When They Die

QUOTE

‘We Feel Relieved When They Die’: A Doctor’s Honest Truth About Mat Rempit
They were RXZ convoy riders on the LPT — not urban street racers, but the consequences landed on the same people they always do.
by Fernando Fong
July 14, 2026

Just after midnight on 11 July, a convoy of Yamaha RX-Z riders crashed at KM 246.4 of the East Coast Expressway (LPT 1).
Four riders died, and 20 others were injured. Dashcam footage, later verified by police, showed the bikes travelling at high speed before the collision.

These weren’t teenagers on back lanes. They were organised convoy riders on a federal highway — a subculture distinct from classic Mat Rempit, but sharing the same disregard for speed limits, the same modified exhausts, and ultimately, the same consequences.

It was not the first time. But this time, two people inside the same hospital said what many had been thinking for years.

“I Was on the Fifth Floor, I Could Still Hear Them”

At Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA) in Kuantan, Iszarizal Ismail was five days into his hospital stay. He had made peace with ward life — the trolleys, the midnight blood draws, the noise that comes with a Kelas 3 ward.

What broke him wasn’t the illness. Past 1 am, modified exhausts from motorcycle groups outside were loud enough to reach him on the fifth floor.
Pop-bang, like cannons, he said; five days without proper sleep, and this was what kept him awake.

"Ko bayangkan aku di tingkat 5 masih boleh terkejut dgn bunyi enjin dan ekzos diorg ni."

His ask was simple: go race somewhere far from the hospital, far from people’s homes.

Surgeon Dr Ahmad Mahyuddin Mohamed had been watching this pattern for years, and after the LPT crash, he posted a warning that went far beyond road safety.

One rider with multiple fractures, he explained, consumes an entire surgical day.

Patients already scheduled — people waiting weeks, sometimes months — get pushed back, and they had no say in any of it; the rider did.

“Hari yang sepatutnya boleh buat 3 pesakit terpaksa guna untuk dia seorang sahaja,” he wrote.

Then came the line that stopped people mid-scroll.

Kalau meninggal tu kami seolah-olah lega la sikit.

He apologised for saying it, but he explained it — a fatality is processed and released.

A survivor with serious fractures stays, and the system bends around them, at the direct expense of every other patient already in the queue. Add obesity, smoking, uncontrolled diabetes — common in the demographic — and surgical risk compounds further.

He didn’t retract it.

The Car They Hit

The human cost didn’t stay inside the hospital.

The Toyota Vios on the LPT that night was carrying Muhammad Irfan Aziz and his family home from visiting a stage-four cancer patient. He was driving normally when he heard a loud noise — then felt a violent smash from behind; a 13-year-old was in the car. He pulled into the emergency lane, and only later did he learn that four motorcyclists had died further back in the pileup.

What followed made a bad night worse; rumours spread online that his car had broken down on the highway, that he had stopped dangerously, that his family was at fault. A video of his sister shouting at the scene went viral; commenters called her heartless.

She had been injured in the crash and was waiting in pain; they had no idea, in those first moments, that anyone had died. Muhammad Irfan filed a police report and took to social media to clear his name — a victim forced to defend himself while still processing the trauma.

That detail — an innocent family, a sick relative, a child, and a man who had to prove he did nothing wrong — became the focal point of public anger.

Comment sections filled quickly, not with condolences for the riders, but with fury.

A Nation That Stopped Feeling Sorry

The reaction was swift and notably unsympathetic — laughing emojis, sarcasm, and pre-emptive mockery of the defence families often deploy: “my child was a good boy, he helped people,” written before any family had even spoken.

Within the Muslim community, religious commentators called it a kematian yang tidak dicemburui — an unenviable death.

Older riders publicly urged the younger generation to drop what they called a “useless hobby.” Road safety advocates pushed harder, pointing out that Malaysia has no dedicated law regulating convoy sizes, formations, or safety requirements.

Calls grew for legislation, not just enforcement. Police acknowledged the limits of their role, saying that stopping reckless road behaviour requires a shift in societal mindset — not just more roadblocks.

A minority blamed the poor lighting on LPT 1, though critics were quick to counter that darkness is a reason to slow down, not to race.

They Left Behind Families

Farah Aqilah, 30, got the call at 1 am; her husband, Muhammad Hafiz, 33, had sent her a photo of his fried rice dinner before the convoy left.
He left behind a three-month-old son, Muhammad Hud Qays.

Faridah, 39, was told by a friend in the early hours. Her husband, Che Mohd Sufian, 40, had been slowly restoring his RX-Z since 2024.
He left behind four children. His eldest, 13-year-old Muhammad Aqiff, publicly vowed to honour his father’s final wish — to excel in his studies and hockey.

They Never Met, They’re All Part of the Same Story

Iszarizal didn’t know about the LPT crash when he wrote his post, Dr Mahyuddin wrote his in direct response to it, and neither referenced the other.

But placed together, they describe the full arc of a single night. The riders raced on the highway; a family visiting a stage-four cancer patient was struck from behind, and a 13-year-old in the car was injured. A patient couldn’t sleep in his ward, and a surgeon spent his operating day on fractures that didn’t need to happen.

And at home, two women waited for messages that never came.

Call them Mat Rempit or call them convoy riders; the label is secondary.

Inheritance procedure

Care to share any experience? I'm type M

Currently trying to help my dad's family side in doing things. They die die want to do themselves rather than going to Amanahraya or appoint trustee to help managing it, citing costs. Judging by the conditions (their health issues, kematian berlapis, involving plenty other waris, unsolved land issues etc) me and my mom are in favor of going thru Amanahraya but my dad and his stubborn way disagreed. Thing is, currently I'm the one who have to help doing it like prepare docs, driving around with him etc.

Not much progress at the moment, plenty of uncertainties and confusion with docs, wordings and procedures. Currently are dealing with both mahkamah syariah and JKPTG trying to settle a pusaka kecil matters before trying to deal with the larger issues. Even now I'm anxious about whether the things we're doing is correct and worry things are rejected causing further delays and whether need to redo other things like angkat sumpah again since it's now involving some other waris.

Anyone experienced applying with Myland before?
The Portugal international’s contract at Al-Nassr was set to expire this summer and he fuelled speculation that he could depart with a cryptic social media post. After Al-Nassr's last Saudi Pro League game, Ronaldo wrote on Instagram: "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all." That was interpreted as Ronaldo saying goodbye to Al-Nassr and he had offers to join other clubs for the Club World Cup.

Ronaldo, however, has committed his future to Al-Nassr in an eye-watering deal that will ensure he remains the highest paid player in the world. Following an announcement on Thursday, the Saudi club confirmed that Ronaldo has agreed terms on a two-year extension that will see him net around €185 million annually. It was reported in Marca earlier this year that Ronaldo's deal will equate to €15m per month, €3.8m per week and €550k per day. But it has been reported that Ronaldo will also be offered a minority ownership in Al-Nassr to signify his importance to the project and the Real Madrid and Manchester United legend will also have an input into which players they sign.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Al-Nassr

In an interview at the Globe Soccer Awards in December, Ronaldo hinted that he could own a club in the future. "I'm not a coach,” he said. “I'm never going to be a coach, president of the club? No. Maybe the owner of the club.If I will be the owner of the club, I will make things clear and adjust what I think is bad there." Ronaldo has increased the profile of the Saudi Pro League significantly more than any other player and he’s already been influential in major decisions at Al-Nassr but he's yet to win a major trophy with the club.

While Ronaldo's impending acquisition of an ownership stake at Al-Nassr is an indication of his future intentions in football, the 39-year-old isn’t quite ready to hang up his boots. Ronaldo’s target is to score 1,000 professional goals but he’s even accepted himself recently that may not be obtainable. Speaking in November, Ronaldo said: “One thousand goals is great, but if it doesn't come, I'm already the player in history with the most goals." Ronaldo has scored at an impressive rate at Al-Nassr with 93 goals in 105 games but he’d realistically need to play for several more seasons to reach the 1,000 landmark and that looks very unlikely after celebrating his 40th birthday in February.

200mln per year
16,5mln per month
4mln per week
550k per day
23k per hour
384 per minute
6 per sec

Imagine waking up and before you finish your coffee you already made 1.5k

Before you go to work you already got 20-30k.

Gym after work? 40k on your bank acc

Day over and you are half way to become millionaire.

Insane money man

Telegram now shares users’ IP and phone number

Telegram now shares users’ IP and phone number on legal requests
By Sergiu Gatlan

Telegram will now share users' phone numbers and IP addresses with law enforcement if they are found to be violating the platform's rules following a valid legal request.

According to a newly updated privacy policy announced by CEO Pavel Durov on Monday, Telegram will comply with such requests only after receiving a valid court order confirming that the user is a suspect in a criminal case that breaches the platform's Terms of Service.

Previously, Telegram's policy limited sensitive user information sharing to cases involving terror suspects.

"If Telegram receives a valid order from the relevant judicial authorities that confirms you're a suspect in a case involving criminal activities that violate the Telegram Terms of Service, we will perform a legal analysis of the request and may disclose your IP address and phone number to the relevant authorities," Durov said today.

"If any data is shared, we will include such occurrences in a quarterly transparency report published at: https://t.me/transparency."

However, Telegram's transparency submissions bot is not yet functional. A message stating, "We are updating this bot with current data. Please come back within the next few days," implies that Telegram is still working on bringing it online.

Durov also revealed that Telegram had improved its search feature, which is known for widespread abuse to sell and promote illegal goods. He said a dedicated team has been working over the last few weeks to remove problematic content from the platform's search results.

Users are urged to report illegal or unsafe material through the @SearchReport bot, and Telegram claims that a moderator team will review all reports of search terms that can be used to find illegal content.

"These measures should discourage criminals. Telegram Search is meant for finding friends and discovering news, not for promoting illegal goods," Durov added today.

"We won't let bad actors jeopardize the integrity of our platform for almost a billion users."

The move comes after Durov, the Russian-born founder and CEO of Telegram, was arrested in France in connection with an investigation into Telegram's use for fraud, drug trafficking, and illegal content distribution.

He was released on bail days later but instructed not to leave the country because French authorities were still investigating him.

On Friday, Ukraine's National Coordination Centre for Cybersecurity (NCCC) also banned Telegram on all devices used within government agencies, military units, and critical infrastructure, citing national security concerns.

Be prepared to subscribe to your PC mouse next

TLDR important points as quoted

QUOTE

Logitech CEO Hanneke Faber wants your next mouse to last forever

Hanneke says that people often say “the mouse built this house” inside Logitech, which is a delightful catchphrase I’d never heard before. From there, we talked about how new interface paradigms like voice and AI might upend mice and keyboards and how she’s thinking about the company’s long-term future in a world where traditional PC sales might go down.

Of course, we talked about whether anyone wants their mouse to be anything more than a mouse — Logitech is adding AI features and even AI buttons to some of its products, and I wanted to know if that’s working.

You’ll hear Hanneke talk about a concept called the “forever mouse,” or a mouse you buy once and upgrade over time with new software features — features that, of course, might carry a subscription fee. Subscription mice! It’s a lot.

QUOTE

It certainly will help with sustainability. There are two ways people have traditionally proposed monetizing hardware over time. It’s subscription fees and it’s advertising. Is there a third way that I don’t know about that you’re thinking of?

No. The third way is the traditional model of “we innovate and we have you upgrade.” That’s the current model. And we’re pretty damn good at that model because we have pretty damn good innovators around the company who do come up with fabulous products.

That is definitely the model today. It’s not a bad model at all, especially since we’re continuing to design for more sustainable products. We’re continuing to recycle and refurbish products. All of that is good. But that said, I am intrigued by a forever mouse or forever video conferencing solution that you just update with software and create a business model around that.

I’m going to ask this very directly. Can you envision a subscription mouse?

Possibly.

And that would be the forever mouse?

Yeah.

So you pay a subscription for software updates to your mouse.

Yeah, and you never have to worry about it again, which is not unlike our video conferencing services today.

But it’s a mouse.

But it’s a mouse, yeah.

I think consumers might perceive those to be very different.

[Laughs] Yes, but it’s gorgeous. Think about it like a diamond-encrusted mouse.
