Care to share any experience? I'm type M

Currently trying to help my dad's family side in doing things. They die die want to do themselves rather than going to Amanahraya or appoint trustee to help managing it, citing costs. Judging by the conditions (their health issues, kematian berlapis, involving plenty other waris, unsolved land issues etc) me and my mom are in favor of going thru Amanahraya but my dad and his stubborn way disagreed. Thing is, currently I'm the one who have to help doing it like prepare docs, driving around with him etc.

Not much progress at the moment, plenty of uncertainties and confusion with docs, wordings and procedures. Currently are dealing with both mahkamah syariah and JKPTG trying to settle a pusaka kecil matters before trying to deal with the larger issues. Even now I'm anxious about whether the things we're doing is correct and worry things are rejected causing further delays and whether need to redo other things like angkat sumpah again since it's now involving some other waris.

Anyone experienced applying with Myland before?

Anwar announces 800L Budi95 quota for e-hailing drivers, adds airport taxis to scheme

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today announced an increased monthly fuel quota of 800 litres for full-time e-hailing drivers under the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) initiative, also expanding the subsidy to include airport taxis.

Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat, Anwar said the decision to raise the e-hailing quota from the previous 600 litres was made after receiving feedback that the amount was inadequate for drivers.

“Therefore, the government has agreed to increase the Budi95 eligibility limit for e-hailing drivers to 800 litres per month,” he said, adding that this was equivalent to a travel distance of about 5,000km.

The announcement marks the second increase for the scheme this year.

On October 13, the government had already raised the quota for nearly 58,000 e-hailing drivers from 300 litres to 600 litres per month

It was reported in Marca earlier this year that Ronaldo's deal will equate to €15m per month, €3.8m per week and €550k per day. But it has been reported that Ronaldo will also be offered a minority ownership in Al-Nassr to signify his importance to the project and the Real Madrid and Manchester United legend will also have an input into which players they sign.

Telegram now shares users’ IP and phone number on legal requests

Telegram will now share users' phone numbers and IP addresses with law enforcement if they are found to be violating the platform's rules following a valid legal request.

According to a newly updated privacy policy announced by CEO Pavel Durov on Monday, Telegram will comply with such requests only after receiving a valid court order confirming that the user is a suspect in a criminal case that breaches the platform's Terms of Service.

Previously, Telegram's policy limited sensitive user information sharing to cases involving terror suspects.

"If Telegram receives a valid order from the relevant judicial authorities that confirms you're a suspect in a case involving criminal activities that violate the Telegram Terms of Service, we will perform a legal analysis of the request and may disclose your IP address and phone number to the relevant authorities," Durov said today.

"If any data is shared, we will include such occurrences in a quarterly transparency report published at: https://t.me/transparency."

However, Telegram's transparency submissions bot is not yet functional. A message stating, "We are updating this bot with current data. Please come back within the next few days," implies that Telegram is still working on bringing it online.

Durov also revealed that Telegram had improved its search feature, which is known for widespread abuse to sell and promote illegal goods. He said a dedicated team has been working over the last few weeks to remove problematic content from the platform's search results.

Users are urged to report illegal or unsafe material through the @SearchReport bot, and Telegram claims that a moderator team will review all reports of search terms that can be used to find illegal content.

"These measures should discourage criminals. Telegram Search is meant for finding friends and discovering news, not for promoting illegal goods," Durov added today.

"We won't let bad actors jeopardize the integrity of our platform for almost a billion users."

The move comes after Durov, the Russian-born founder and CEO of Telegram, was arrested in France in connection with an investigation into Telegram's use for fraud, drug trafficking, and illegal content distribution.

He was released on bail days later but instructed not to leave the country because French authorities were still investigating him.

On Friday, Ukraine's National Coordination Centre for Cybersecurity (NCCC) also banned Telegram on all devices used within government agencies, military units, and critical infrastructure, citing national security concerns.

KLANG: The body of missing singer Muhammad Nidza Afham was found below the Sungai Klang bridge in Selangor on Wednesday (Aug 14) night.

His girlfriend traced his last location to the bridge where a family member found his wallet and other belongings.

PETALING JAYA: Take a sniff before entering class to stay energised – that’s what sellers of “energy sticks” on social media are telling our kids.

And, yes, judging by the language used in these ads, these sellers are deliberately targeting children – not teens, but even younger children – with the sticks sold in fruity flavours appealing to young noses, like mint, lemon, durian, peach, and blackcurrant, among others.

Earlier this month, the Health Ministry responded to complaints from the public and said that action would be taken against sellers of such products.

However, checks on several ecommerce and social media platforms yesterday showed the products are still available.

They cost between RM2.50 and RM18.70 a stick. Bundle packages are also sold, with a “free gift” for purchasing a pack of five sticks.

The sticks seen advertised online have either a single inhaler or double-pronged inhalers.

Some social media users even do reviews and tutorials showing how to use the sticks, just as you would expect from any normal product.

However, these are not “normal products”.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Muhammad Radzi Abu Hassan said these products have not been registered with the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency as required by the Sale of Drugs Act 1952.

Those who sell unregistered health products are in breach of Rule 7(1) (a) of the Control of Drugs and Cosmetics Regulations 1984. Those found guilty face a fine of up to RM25,000 or up to three years’ jail or both for the first offence.

Dr Muhammad Radzi said advertisements for the products will be taken down from popular ecommerce platforms.

The ads are compelling for stressed young students – “If you’re always sleepy, buy this,” read the caption on one of the posts.

Sellers make all sorts of claims about the energy sticks, that they can reduce anxiety and stress and help users to relax.

A majority of the sticks sold online are imported from China.

One China-based seller claims that the product “has no prohibited items” such as alcohol or nicotine, instead offering products infused with “edible menthol and plant essential oils”; almost 11,000 units have been sold, according to site figures. Another seller said their product contained hemp.

Some sellers who spoke to The Star said that sales were only done online, though one person said his stock comes from headquarters in Penang.

A 47-year-old woman who only wanted to be known as Nina said her 17-year-old daughter had asked for an energy stick after seeing friends use them at her school and tuition centre.

“I was worried because I didn’t know what it was. Then I Googled it and it looked quite worrying,” said the mother of two.

“I am worried that it may cause health issues as it is unregulated and we don’t know what the contents are. And children may turn to vaping or drugs in the future after trying this,” she added.

She said her daughter’s school had confiscated some energy sticks from students.

According to Consumers Association of Penang senior education officer NV Subbarow, the flavours advertised could be appealing to children.

He said he has received many complaints from parents and teachers on the use of these “energy sticks”.

“One of the students who bought these sticks told me that students preferred using the energy stick to vaping as it gave some sort of stimulation and they felt more energetic,” he said.

Subbarow called for both the Health and Education ministries to take action on the matter.

“The future of Malaysian children’s health is in question,” he said.

Federation of Malaysian Consumers Association (Fomca) chief executive officer Saravanan Thambirajah said the products should not be sold as their functions have not been tested or certified by any agencies in Malaysia, adding that they have not been medically proven either.

He said the government must take the necessary actions immediately to stop all social media platforms selling these items and to take the advertisements down immediately.

“Extensive enforcement has to be done on the ground. At the ports, the government has to ramp up security and checkpoints to ensure these products are not brought into the country.

“If this (product) is not curbed, we have another issue of addiction to chemicals,” he said.

“Fomca also advises consumers and children not to be taken in by misleading advertisements,” Saravanan said.

He called on the Health Ministry to work hand-in-hand with the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry to identify where the items are being sold so immediate action can be taken.

“Ecommerce platforms must also have some sort of responsibility towards consumers. If they see such products being sold there, they should take action on their own and remove them from the platform,” he said.

Efforts to contact ecommerce platforms are underway.

"Operasi hari ini dimulakan kira-kira jam 8.30 pagi dan pasukan pencarian akan dipecahkan kepada beberapa lokasi tumpuan kepada kawasan seluas 32 kilometer (km) persegi.

"Operasi yang dilakukan semalam, kita terpaksa tamat lebih awal kira-kira jam 6 petang berikutan faktor cuaca yang tidak mengizinkan," katanya.

Menurutnya, sehingga 10 malam semalam, tiada sebarang petunjuk atau penemuan baharu mengenai kedudukan baki mangsa yang masih hilang berjaya dibuat pasukan pencarian.

Hanyan berkata, selain itu pasukan operasi hari ini akan bertumpu di kawasan tebing kiri dan kanan jeram sejauh lapan kilometer.

"Pihak kami percaya kemungkinan lokasi mangsa boleh dihanyutkan agak jauh dari titik awal kejadian berikutan dibawa arus kepala air yang deras.

"Pasukan pencarian juga akan menggunakan khidmat anjing pengesan K9 dari polis dan Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (JBPM)," katanya.

Katanya, pihaknya juga akan menambah kekuatan anggota operasi termasuk bantuan dari luar sekiranya keadaan memerlukan.

"Operasi hari ini juga akan membabitkan tiga fasa kawasan pencarian mengikut kekuatan dan bantuan sedia ada.

"Kami berharap keadaan cuaca baik sepanjang hari ini bagi memudahkan pasukan operasi melakukan pencarian mangsa," katanya.
