Question about pickups for electric guitar

Hi, I've just adjusted the height of the soundboard pickup height for my guitar and I'm very happy with the results because I can hear the notes clearly and they are more responsive to volume changes.

I was just wondering, are the any cons to tuning my pickup very near the strings? About 0.6 cm away.
