PC short circuited

Hi fellow lyns, for the past few days the desktop keep on go into blues screen then reboot even before entering Windows. And today it won't even start up, CPU GPU fans are running, got power up light but the PC is just not starting. So I decided to check through the cable to see if everything has been connected correctly because I thought I may because I accidentally misconnect some cable when I do dust cleaning months ago. Ever since then the PC is rarely use.

So back to the topic, after check everything, I on the PC, the PC explode a little bit with flash (I think is short circuited), now I don't dare to switch it on again.

How do I check to know which component is short circuited?

So basically i want to buy a laptop, i have few brand in my mind which is asus and dell. But they have too many series and model.
My budget is around 2.5k and below.
I will use it for gaming and some school work.
I hope i can set the setting of sc2 and d3 to at least high and compatible to streaming online.
So, any suggestion?

<WTA> Need Advices for Gaming Rig

Hi, im new in building my own rig. After looking articles and discuss with my friends. I come out with a rig. I hope you all can give me advices or comment on my rig. By the way, my budjet only 3k. And i hope my rig can play heavy game like bf3 and on ultra in starcraft 2 or even diablo 3.

File corrupt, reinstall & try again

I bought retail version of bad company 2, when i finished the game and try to start the game, it keeps error with, Game Data File Corrupt, Reinstall & Try Again.. Whats wrong is this? anyone experience this before?
