Was considering to change to E-mount system, so I am looking to sell off my A-mount system in full.

Did my research, and here's what I found:

1. VAT rate in UK now is 20% as of 2011.
2. Apple Store offers tax-free shopping through Global Blue.

I know the procedures to claim the VAT.
But anyone has the actual experience on how much actual VAT is refundable? I know it wont be full 20% due to commission charges by Travelex.

Please share your real-life experiences as I know some LYN members went through the length of buying apple stuffs in other countries as Msia is always behind launch date by miles!

I am planning to get iPad2 from Apple Store in Regent Street, London.

Optical Audio Switch

It's available widely around the world, but cant find any in Malaysia?

Google Maps

Hi there,

Im on 1.1.4. Can any of you on same firmware try to point your google maps to Macau?
I can pin Macau but when I zoomed it, there's no info, no roads, no nothing. Just a plain island.

But when I point somewhere else, Kuching, London, KL, all no problem.

Im going Macau soon and I need the maps saved using Maps Offline.

Winscp and Iphone 1.1.4

Hi guys,

Got my jailbroken iphone successfully connected to winscp. Able to transfer files and stuff, no problem.

Next, downloaded several games/application from net and they are all in .app extensions, no problem.

Transfered .app files into "Application" folder in iphone using SFTP/SCP protocol, modify octal to 0775, no problem.

Restart iphone, new icons there, click on it, launched.....and crashed back to springboard.

It happens to all the downloaded .app files i downloaded off the net.

Anyone care to shed light? Thanks.

Rogaine Foam - Hairloss Treatment

Guys,
I was the one the organised the failed bulk for Rogaine Foam as the items were siezed by JABATAN KESIHATAN NEGERI as the chemical , Minoxidil, is not registered under Malaysian Drugs list (how stupid).

Now now, I've seen pharmacies carrying Rogaine (liquid form containing Minoxidil too) and can someone tell me these pharmacies are breaking laws too??

Real question is, where can I get the Rogaine Foam in Malaysia? Please share some info as many,many forumers are eager to know (based on the numbers of reserves in my bulk list).

Updating Ipod in Itunes

Guys,
Really need your help, have been googling for 2 hours but yet to crack the problem. It goes like this:

I am using Nano 2G Black. Today, when I dock it to USB cable, my itunes starts up, ipod icon showed up in the left-side bar. No problem, very usual.

So, when I click on my Ipod icon on the left (with the name of the ipod u gave during first time using itunes), I can see the songs of my Ipod appears in Itunes. Again, no problem.

But, when i try to click on those songs, i cannot select them. I browse through Library, yes I can select songs from Library, but not the songs from my Ipod!

Fine, then I wanted to transfer some songs from Library to Ipod, so i normally drag-n-drop. But now I cannot do that anymore. It seems like the Ipod is locked or something. I cannot update it either.

Already done Restore, newest firmware etc etc.

Please help?

Hair Loss Problem

Halo guys,

I dont want to live in denial. And I am sure that most of guys in LYN DO suffer from hair loss. There's nothing much can be done since my case is inherited/genetic (from my father's side of family).

I started losing hair in the age of 18/19. Now by 24, there are 2 bald spots on the sides of my head, creating a M-shape. And in the middle, hair started to thinning. I wanted to try oral medication but they are too expensive, RM150+/month (Finasteride).

So guys, be brave to post up if you DO suffer from this 'curse' and any way to solve this? Hair loss problem affects me emotionally and socially in a BIG BIG way! I have less confidence, always stay away from rain coz wet hair reveals bald spots, less attractive, counts hair everyday....

any 'miracle' from LYN sufferers, pls share.....
