Resolving my DSL3100R+Bitcomet disconnection issue

For the benefit of all, here's how I resolve my bitcomet disconnection problem.

I'm using Aztech DSL3100R too and I connect 2 pc to it.

I've been downloading in bitcomet last time without problem. Then about 1 month ago, downloading speed become slow.

Then I try to search for the Bitcomet recommend setting and set accordingly and downloading speed become ok.

But then the disconnection problem started.

It is always about after 2 - 3 hours of download and the problem occur.
Each day have to reset modem few times.

So I try search for solution but cannot find. Until I saw someone posted about too many peer connection might hang the modem.

So yesterday 28/10, I tried to lower these setting in bitcomet:
Options->Preference->Advance->Connection

Maximum connections per task
Connections to keep per task

Since midnight 29/10, there is no more disconnection.

I'm glad that the problem is resolved.

Also, if you are using XP, pls check:
Start->Setting->Control Panel->Administration Tools->Event Viewer->System Log

See if you have a log from Source=TCPIP, and event id = 4226.

If yes, go to http://www.lvllord.de to download the patch for tcpip.sys to resolve the issue.

My computer dont have this issue, and I did not patch it.

Saw so many blaming Aztech and wanted to change to other brand or buy separate modem and router.

Dont blame Aztech that its cheap product is not good. It serves me well.

It depends on how you use it.
