Why:

- Had to open multiple tabs just to scan multiple websites for worthy news. So one place to open pagi-pagi.
- Local news website full of stupid ads
- I nak belajar programming and buat this hujung minggu sampai mata lebam
- I want a place where I can read high quality local article/news (just like Hacker News)

Features:

- Auto crawl local news website every 10 minutes
- Currently only supports Berita Harian, Utusan, Sinar Harian, Harian Metro and Malaysiakini. Will add more later.
- Can filter by tags (just click to select them in the Tag section)
- Mobile friendly
- Simple User Interface (or more like phail UI, I'm not a designer lol)
- Reddit/Hacker News/Stackoverflow wannabe
- Lots of features will be added to make sure only good stories are at the top (if I rajin)
- The story's time will automatically update when you leave your browser idle
- You can save your tags preferences, but it'll be lost when you close the browser (for now)
- This just came out from the oven, so, some minor bugs are expected
- Only tested on Chrome

Passengers to be compensated for flight delays

Article 19 of the new law, which comes into effect after 10 days.

Said airline companies have to provide hotel accommodation to passengers at a cost of up to SR3,000 daily if they cancel their flights and do not operate alternative flights.

The hotel accommodation should be provided until passengers get another flight to their destinations, the law said. "Passenger should be given a compensation of SR300 per hour, if they were not provided with replacement flight within six hours."

The GACA will have the authority to cancel licenses of airline companies operating in the Kingdom if they fail to abide by clauses of Article 19. Violators will also be slapped with a fine of up to SR50,000 for each violation.

Passengers will have the right to have cool drinks if the flight is delayed for one hour, hot meals if delayed for three hours and hotel accommodation if delayed for more than six hours.

"If a passenger of special needs is refused boarding after ticket has been issued and did not receive necessary facilities at the airport, he/she will have the right to get 200 percent of the ticket fare in addition to compensation for refusing to board the flight," the law said.

Bagaimanapun, tiada kenamaan selaku wakil kerajaan negeri hadir pada majlis itu.

Sempena majlis itu, I'DA World turut menyampaikan surat pelantikan kepada lebih 100 kontraktor yang dipilih untuk melaksanakan dengan projek yang dibangunkan firma terbabit.

Sejurus penyampaian surat pelantikan kontraktor itu selesai, Abdul Rahim membuat kejutan apabila mempamerkan replika cek memaparkan nilai RM4 bilion atas nama Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) selepas pengacara majlis membuat pengumuman mengenai sumbangan firma itu kepada Kerajaan Pas Kelantan.

Berdasarkan taklimat yang disampaikan pada majlis itu, I'DA World dengan modal berbayar RM1 juta mendakwa mempunyai aset lebih AS$2 trilion.
Firma itu bercadang membangunkan Projek Super Mega Seri Tujuh (S7) di Tumpat, dengan anggaran kos pembangunan RM313.71 bilion, selain beberapa projek membabitkan empat negeri iaitu Kedah, Perlis, Perak dan Kelantan membabitkan kos keseluruhannya RM1 trilion.

Antara projek yang mahu dilaksanakan termasuk pembinaan lebuh raya Link Timur-Barat (EWL) yang turut dilengkapi dengan saluran minyak dari Tumpat ke Yan, Kedah; landasan kereta api berkembar dan beberapa terowong pintas melalui Banjaran Titiwangsa.

Google eyes Indonesia for expansion

Google said on Thursday that Internet use in Indonesia was expanding at a fast pace and was the leading emerging economy in terms of growth.

"Users are growing very, very fast. Indonesia is about to explode," Google Asia Business Development director Emmanuel Sauquet said of Southeast Asia's biggest economy.

"It has very diverse and very active online communities. It's the right place for us to come now," he said. "Compared to other emerging countries, Indonesia is the fastest growing country."

Google is collaborating with a local wireless broadband Internet company Bakrie Connectivity, whose new modem will come with Google Chrome web browser as a standard feature.

Indonesia's population of more than 230 million people and low market penetration have made the Indonesia attractive for Internet companies.

The country has about 40 million Internet users, while it is also ranked third with the most registered Facebook users, after the US and Britain, with more than 22 million users.

A study by Yahoo! in Southeast Asia found that Indonesia is the largest and fastest growing online market in Southeast Asia. It marked a growth of 48 percent in 2010 of online usage compared to 22 percent last year.

Yahoo! recently bought local social networking website Koprol.
