FB 999GB showstopper

Previously I'm paying RM3 per day for 1GB and I can use Facebook via hotspot tethering. Now I'm NOT able to do so. Can you tell me what alternative if I wanna continue paying RM3 per day to use Facebook on my laptop? I don't really need 999 GB for Facebook. 1GB per day is more than enough. I don't want to pay for weekly/monthly pass. I love to pay RM90 per month for 30GB of data (Yes!).

Obviously, your network team, the manager and the senior manager have no clue on how people use Facebook on tethering. When you block FB on tethering, we can't even sign-in to other websites that uses "Sign-in with Facebook".

This is a complete showstopper, because we're using websites (ie. Instagram, Vimeo, Spotify etc.) that require to Sign-in with Facebook. We are unable to Sign-in now because FB is blocked on tethering. OAuth to FB is blocked.

For Hotlink FAST, the option to purchase Validity 365 is missing starting today. Can you advise what's the status?

So how much is Tmnet's total bandwidth and how many users can it handle?

Correct me if I'm wrong...

1. What is their total bandwidth?
Population in malaysia: 27 mil
Broadband penetration rate: 2.5%
So number of broadband users: 675,000

1% of users: 6,750
Assuming they download at: 800 kbit/s (1MB package)
1% of users using 30% bandwidth = 5.15 Gbit/s

In other words, TMnet's total bandwidth is about: 17.16 Gbit/s

2. How many users does it take to fully utilize their bandwidth?
3.35% of users: 22,612 users
Assuming they download at: 800 kbit/s (1MB package)
3.35% of users is using 100% bandwidth: 17.252 Gbit/s (!)

So only 22,612 users can fully get what they paid for (1MB package).

Looking at the current number of broadband users we have, we have oversubscription ratio of (675,000 / 22,612) = 29.85.

That means TMnet's available bandwidth can support each user with 26.8 kbit/s.

Any other ideas?
