CCTV + Alarm for New House

Hi,

I just got the keys to my new house and I am planning to install the CCTV and alarm for the house. Somehow, I'm in dilemma on which type of cabling I need to run. Any suggestion? And price details? I'm planning to install 8 CCTVs and wondering whether I should go for IP Camera, HD Analog or Wireless Type.

And for Alarm, I got a quote for Paradox alarm system, which is around RM1100 + RM70 per point + RM200 for additional switch in the master bedroom. I wondering whether to give my electrician to do the wiring or let the Alarm and CCTV guy do it. Any suggestion?

Paying House Loan on Daily Basis

Hi All,

Just to check, I'm having a UOB Semi-Flexi loan and currently I'm doing monthly payment to the bank. Interest is basically calculated on daily-rest. I read in a forum saying that if we do weekly payment, we could finish up our payment 6 years earlier (if we take 35 years loan). Is that true? What if we do daily payment, can we save more on the interest? Do anyone has the excel sheet to share so that I can calculate how much of interest saving can be made for this?

Development in Project Sakit

Hi all,

Just to check, has anyone purchased a house and then the housing project fell into the Projek Sakit Category. Will we be able to retrieve the money that we have paid for the deposit and any other money that we have paid.

For my case,
I bought the house with 70% loan and 30% own money. So far, I have paid only 20% of the upfront and bank loan is yet to be disbursed. The project is categorized in Projek Sakit and I have no confident that the developer will be able to finish the project in timely manner. Can I cancel the loan and request for my 20% that I have paid?

Need your guys input regarding this matter.
