Reason for sale: unused unit. My previous unit is faulty, I sent it to brighstar for warranty and brighstar replace it with new unit after 2 weeks of waiting. Already bought a new set of Bluetooth earphone for replacement.

Nagios

Greeting to all open source sifoos n gurus.

I just managed to install Nagios on ubuntu 9.
everything working fine. I m using another pc (win xp) as a host for testing purpose.
Nagios was suppose to send out notifications when there were any problems with the servers/pc/host

my question is, how to make nagios send an email notifications immediately after the host was down.
It takes too long to send an email when the host was down but just a few second when the host is up.

I dont think the problem is from postfix or mailx coz when i tried to send an email manually, everything work fine.

I also done disable all the services excluding the uptime and tried to randomly changes a few value on nagios.cfg but still not avail.
(i dont know which part must i change)

any idea??
