Time For a New Car?

Hello /K/, it's been a while huh

I am fortunate to stay at this company and earned a few promotions since my last POST.

My latest promotion bumped up my car allowance and I think it's time that I get a bigger and comfortable car from my 2019 MyVi for my job and personal use and would like to seek your opinion. It can be a car recommendation or maybe maintain the financial advice?

TLDR:

>3 years into the company and got promoted 3 times
>Travel benefit also got a raise
> Current 2019 MyVi mileage just reached 220,000 KM
>Looking to change to a bigger, comfier car with the increase in car allowance
>/K/ can recommend a car that perhaps fit the bill

Hello guys!

I'll keep the story short, TLDR version:

Boeing sued by more than 400 pilots

PM's statements on China 'insensitive', says MCA

“The impact will be great if China loses its patience and choose to retaliate quietly, which some countries like South Korea and Palau, a Pacific island, have found out when Chinese tourists stayed away,” he said.

He added that Malaysia should have taken advantage of the current China-US trade war instead of “making China lose face".

Chew said China had stopped buying soy beans from US farmers and this was the best time for Malaysia to increase its palm oil export to China.

He also questioned the timing of Foreign Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah’s RM500,000 donation, on behalf of Malaysia, to Japan on the eve of Dr Mahathir’s visit to China.

“This was on the day, Aug 15, that China annually mark the anniversary of Japan’s surrender in World War Two.

“The Chinese-speaking world is talking about it and the insensitiveness of Malaysian leaders.”

Chew said Wisma Putra would surely know of the bitter rivalry between China and Japan.

“Thanks to Dr Mahathir, we are now seen as pro-Japan and at a time when everyone wants a share of the huge China market,” he said.

Chew said Dr Mahathir was “whacking China everyday” and that it was time that “he tone down his rhetoric".

He also asked what was DAP leader Tan Kok Wai, who is special envoy to China, doing.

“The new government sacked politically appointed ambassadors but is now starting to replace them with their own political cronies.

“That’s hypocrisy for you but the MCA wants the new government to be tactful in handling China because we can never win.

“Don’t let the anger against the Najib administration blur the rationality and in the end affect our country.

He questioned why the DAP leaders were “silent” and “not giving sound advice to Dr Mahathir".

“This is not a poker game for the PM because the stakes are high and Malaysia cannot afford it.

“Dr Mahathir is wise and revered but it doesn’t mean he’s right in everything,” Chew added.

Design Changes

Many built-in apps have been refined with darker lines and bolder fonts, with Apple moving away from the thin fonts that have dominated since iOS 7. Some apps, like Phone and Calculator have new designs with darker fonts and round buttons sans borders, while others, like Reminders and Calendar, remain entirely unchanged. Still others, like Messages, Podcasts, and Apple News, feature smaller design tweaks.

Control Centre (User Customable)

In iOS 10, Apple split the Control Center, accessed by swiping upwards from the bottom of the display, into multiple windows. In iOS 11, it's back to a single consolidated window and it has an entirely new look with bubble-style icons. There are two top sections for basic networking options and Apple Music controls, plus sliders for volume and brightness. Improved Siri

File App

Files is well-organized and offers up quick access to all content that's stored on an iOS device. Adding a tag to a file for organizational purposes is as simple as dragging the file to the tag color of your choice.

Apple Map

Apple has purchased several indoor mapping companies, and in iOS 11, it's making use of that technology. iOS 11 supports indoor maps of select malls and airports around the world, displaying full layouts of each location with icons for restaurants, bathrooms, and other notable indoor landmarks.

Indoor mapping technology is limited to a handful of malls and airports at launch, but Apple says support will be dramatically expanded over time.

Apple Music

The "Connect" feature in Apple Music that required you to make a Connect account back when the service first debuted is finally being put to use beyond following artists. In iOS 11, you can make an Apple Music profile that allows you to share playlists with friends and see your friends' playlists.

Asus Z97 PCI-E SSD Support?

Hi, I have a Z97 setup and thought of getting a just for faster boot up and I realized my motherboard (Asus Maximus VII Gene) has a dedicated M.2 slot.

My question is can I get the full potential (R/W speed) of a PCIE SSD using that slot or would it be better off getting a PCIE Adapter and running it straight from the PCIE x4 slot?

I believe this is the available settings for M.2 (not sure)

Kancil - Fan Radiator problem?

Car: Kancil 850 Auto (2002)

Story:
Was driving my kancil back from pasar malam (around 6-ish PM). Turned on the air-cond and felt that the air wasn't as cold as it was when I drove to the pasar malam. Didn't mind (yet) cause I was thinking maybe it's time I serviced the air-cond.

Arrived home, turned off the air-cond, turn off the car and heard some noise coming from the engine bay. Popped up the hood and I believe it's the coolant that was 'boiling' from the coolant reservoir. Let it cooled off and came back to see that there is no coolant left (at all) in the reservoir.

Things I've checked:
* Radiator Fan: It's not spinning (not totally sure if it's dead as I believe it only turns on when the thermostat reaches a certain temperature)
* Coolant Reservoir: It's totally empty (can see the bottom of the reservoir lol). Used water to check whether got any leak throughout the system, there wasn't.
* Temperature (or thermostat?) meter: Needle didn't move from the 'C' mark (Usually when the engine is turned on, the needle would be around 1/3 of the meter)

Wada Kouji passed away

Wada Kouji, beloved singer and songwriter who has been with the Digimon franchise since Digimon Adventure began has passed away Oricon is reporting.

It's reported that he passed away due to complications from his various bouts with cancer.

He passed April 3rd (News was announced this morning).

While the funeral was private, there will be a public event in Tokyo later in April.

His various most well known songs were of course, many themes and insert songs from every single bit of the Digimon franchise. He had songs in every anime series the franchise had, and of course, did new versions of Butter-Fly and Seven for tri. part 2. Fans know he did many other songs, including the themesong to Transformers: Car Robots. I'll let everyone comment on songs themselves rather than me just listing them off.

He was well known to happily travel to fan conventions around the world when invited.

He died at age 42
