NEW Honda City Gear Oil Sump damage

Hi all

I need some urgent advice on my brand new Honda City that is now in Honda workshop for 2 weeks and counting.

I got my new Honda City V spec 2 weeks ago, and everything was going fine
1 night while making a right turn on a dark road where the entire stretch of street lighting was not on, i ran over the end of a low and narrow road divider.
The right side of the car rolled over the low divider without any major impact and i continued to my destination in 5 minutes.
I check the car body and there was not even a scratch on it and i never though much about it. It was as though i rolled over a high speed hump.
I happily went shopping for 2 hours , came back , started the car, engaged the gear but the car would not move.

Assuming is was a defective car unit, since it is a new car, i engaged Honda car towing and it got towed to workshop
After 4 days of checking they told me the gearbox oil sump below the car is scratch and gearbox oil has leaked out, and i need to make a report to claim insurance.

So i did just that, reported the incident, file the report to make a claim. Since it's just a scratch below the car, no big deal so i thought.
by then it is now 1 week without my car.
My car sales guy says the insurer will need 2 additional weeks to assess (that means 3 weeks without my car)
and then it will be CNY, so they will have further delay.

But his main worry is that the damage is not just on my oil sump but my entire gearbox.
and the bigger worry is that neither Honda nor the insurer will cover the damage to the gearbox!

So here i have a brand new car barely used for a week, with no visible damage whatsoever, not even a scratch, but may need a gearbox replacement which may or may not be covered by insurance or warranty.
There is no conclusion yet as I wait for the insurance assessment, meanwhile I'm seeking advice from anyone with knowledge and experience on such matters.

Coz it's rather unfortunate and depressing to think about it, thanks a lot!
