Hi guys...i'm planning to buy a water heater for my bathroom..hope u guys can suggest me a good one..

brand : as long as reputable brand... (please state which brand to avoid also) afraid the salesperson sweet talk and push other brand
type : i dont know..suggest me good one...
budget : dont have any idea..but i limit it not more than RM 500 including installation...
warranty : longer and wider coverage better
uses : general daily use
spec : low electric consumption, less noise, safe

P/S: btw usually how much is installation price?

My Experience on Antitheft Application

Hi guys,

I just wanna share my experience on antitheft application..Is it needs or not?

It happens to my wife yesterday..around 10 am...Her phone got stolen which is due to her fault because she left her nexus s...after 30-45 minutes she realized she left the phone outside the house...and when she went outside..the phone is gone.... ....

My wife nexus s is protected by security pattern lock...so if the lock insert wrongly, it will ask for google account...i also just unsubscribe mobile data for my wife phone no. because i bought for him maxis mifi broadband as it suits more to her use for phone and laptop.

But...luckily months ago..i did installed Cerberus anti theft on my wife handphone which i bought at playstore around RM12...i used it for all my 3 devices..GNEX, Nexus S and Tab 7.7...

So after my wife inform me, i did went to cerberus app web and try to locate the devices, track the devices, see call log and sms log...but all failed..

But around 1 pm i received sms from 0123xxxxxx which is from the simcard enter to my wife nexus s..it is because the cerberus will notify if any other simcard been insert to the protected devices...so it will automatically send sms using the no of the simcard insert without the user know...and it is done without the thief can access my home screen because he incorrectly enter the pattern and the phone need an owner google account to unlock the phone.

the sms look like this:

So when i go back from work..i try to call the number and he did pick up..and straight ask for the phone and says will report to the police..so the guys straight told that some one sold my nexus s to him..for price RM100..... ..piss me off..i bought it RM800 and i think the phone still worth RM 500..But he didnt pay yet because he told the thief, he want to pay later...so i come directly to his restaurant...and take back my phone...

After that i need to connect my nexus s to open wireless network before i can unlock the phone using google account..and i see all the apps and etc is still intact...Btw, i know the thieve already..and he know me..so didnt lodge any police report and kept quiet...my wife simcard and the casing of the phone been throwed away by the thieve...

So lucky me and my wife that we managed to get back the phone...which i would say it is impossible to get back your phone if u dont have any anti theft apps...after this..i need to root my nexus s phone so that the apps still there even after factory reset...so it is extra caution, if the theft is smart enough to did factory reset before on the phone...

So in conclusion what i tried in cerberus apps..when my wife nexus s lost is...

1) tracking - failed (no internet access) - i got sms only after i get back my phone and on the internet..which the address is around 50-100m accuracy...
2) front camera pic - only receive when have internet...i saw the buyer face because incorrect attempt for pattern.
3) Device info - failed
4) SMS info - failed
5) Call log - failed
6) Video record - failed
7) Audio record - failed
8) Devices history - failed
9) Sim card change notification - work even without internet and it helps me to get back my nexus s...yeay...

so cerberus did help...and if i root it can inform me when the phone connect to internet..so i still believe it works..because some smart thief use the smartphone must use internet....so that he can utilize the smartphone...

So if can..invest la some cheap amount for any antitheft apps..RM 12 for 5 devices..for me it very worth it..and i have get back my investment...which i get back my phone......
