Hi,

I hav chemical engineering as 1st degree from local uni (1st class hons) and 1 year experience in Upstream oil and gas simulation experience.

However, the salary is rather low with my 1st class degree.(I feel)

less than RM 2.6k after probation till now and starting salary of 2k.
I always think that I am demanding so much for salary wise but KL life with 2.5k salary and I need to support family.

I give myself time to learn in this company although it is insufficient for me.

My coursemates and frenz always said that i can get higher paid with my degree and qualification.

I was thinking to take master course in Master in Petroleum Geoscience in UM. so that can get into upstream exploration and production field.

Is it abit silly if i do that? Bcoz, it is abit totally different field?

Chemical engineering - upstream oil and gas processing
Petroleum Geoscience - exploration (geology)

Please HELP....thanks so much...
