Hello,

Can anyone from Melaka tell me where can I get steaks like sirloin or rib eye, frozen or fresh, in Melaka. I am not searching for the supermarket types. Prefer the steak to be at least 1 inch thick.

Thanks.

Hi,

After reading the English vs Chinese thread over here, I did some searching on which kindergarten can have the best of both worlds for my LO.

My friend mentioned this kindergarten and I saw on their website that they are a chain. Anyone send their kids here? Can share your experience?

Thanks in advance.

Any tricks to get your baby to take the bottle?

Hi,

I am currently trying to get my 3 1/2 months baby to drink EBM from the bottle but he doesn't like it. He knows how to but would cry up till an hour if persistently given the bottle. We are using advent at the moment.

I have tried all sorts of trick I can google but nothing is working. How am I suppose to wean him from the breast next time? We actually started giving him the bottle when he was 4 weeks. He was ok at first but as he grows, he is getting fussy.

We are not stopping the breastfeeding bit it would be nice if daddy can feed him once in a while. Could it be the bottle type? Any advice?

Thanks in advance

To use sarong or not?

Just curious, how many parents out there let their babies sleep using the sarong or baby hammock that uses spring?

My LO is kinda refusing to sleep during the day and he is only 5 weeks old. If we carry him, then he sleeps, but when put him down on the bed, he wakes up. Aiyoh....go toilet also not free...

Optional vaccinations

Hi to all parents put there,

Today, I took my 1 month old for his second dose of Hep B vaccination. The doctor told me that at 2 months there are 2 others OPTIONAL vaccinations which are for Pneumococcal and Rotavirus.

I am not sure if so many vaccinations are actually good for the baby. Am thinking of going for the Pneumococcal but leave the Rotavirus sine I am breastfeeding anyways.

Any parent wanna share his/her thoughts with me about these optional vaccinations?

Jaundice and breastfeeding

Hi,

Anyone here has experience where jaundice in your newborn babies recover really slow because of breastfeeding?

My almost 3 week old baby still have jaundice and the doctor said it is because I am breastfeeding him instead of giving formula.

I am thinking of giving up breastfeeding and feed him formula to speed up the recovery but feel reluctant to do so.

Any opinion is welcomed. Thanks.

Edit: topic description added.

Paediatrician in Melaka

Heya,

I am now looking for a paediatrician in Melaka for my newborn son. Went to one today but aiyoyoh, he was so rough with the baby. Hmm....when he weigh the baby, the way he put him on the scale reminds me of a fishmonger weighing fish in the market.

My previous paediatrician is very gentle one leh. Too bad he is not located in Melaka. Anyone knows of any nice doctors, do share Thank you.
