Hi any experts here that can help me out?

I would like to install an amplifier and a sub woofer. Can I just get a sub woofer without an amp? Also what are these channels mean in an amplifier.

Any brand or model recommendations? I like it compact too...

My budget is around RM2000.00. Basically, I just want to get a low bass in my ride for jazz..

I hope someone can help me out. I'm looking for a hard disk (external), that after I download the movies from my pc and I want to just store the movies (in various formats) in this hard disk. This hard drive would convert it to a viewable format when I plug this into my LCD tv (not pc monitor). I would also like it to be plugged via HDMI. I'm lazy to burn it onto a disc or streaming it (cause it is not smooth) . Anything like that out there ?

I live in a double storey house. Previously when I was using streamyx, whenever there is strong ligthning I would have to unplug the phone cable/ lan cable...cause it is very prone to lightning surges. How about UNIFI?

and since we have completely changed the house number to UNIFI's, now we have to turn on the box thing that connects to the phone. Is it ok to leave it on 24 hours? will it overheat?

I just go the service yesterday, so i am not so familiar yet.

Hope someone can help...
