I was contacted by a charity foundation based in Selangor via WhatsApp asking for donations. I did some basic checks, looked them up online, confirmed they had a physical location, and that their bank account matched the organization’s name. Everything seemed legit, so I started donating monthly on and off.

I paused donations for a month or two due to personal finances, but they continued sending me monthly updates with the “amount needed” for their upcoming expenses. I didn’t always pay close attention to those messages.

Then, out of nowhere, another charity foundation from Johor contacted me via WhatsApp asking for donations. I didn't question much at this point and started donating to both (Selangor and Johor). After a few months, I stopped again for financial reasons. But they kept messaging me on and off about their usual expenses, which I didnt response to it.

Again, yet another charity from Selangor reached out. This one called me and followed up with WhatsApp messages.

Now I’m starting to wonder:

- How did the first charity get my contact in the first place?
- How did my number end up being passed around to other charity foundations even as far as Johor?
-Is there some kind of contact-sharing going on behind the scenes?

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Did your contact info get passed between different foundations?

Would like to know if this is a common thing or if I’ve somehow been flagged on some charity donor list.

Please don’t respond with stuff like: “Just block them” / “Don’t donate if you don’t want to” / “If it’s from the heart, it doesn’t matter.”

I’m not asking whether I should donate. I’m asking if others have had this kind of chain of unsolicited requests and what your take on it is.

So the story like this, I parked my car for awhile to go bungkus food and on the way back to my car, saw a guy chasing after his lorry and BAM! Just nice bang on my car ass and another myvi parked beside me. Luckily no ppl standing along the path or else under the lorry already.

Then i ask the ane(lorry driver) go parking first behind lorong (cause his lorry blocking the traffic) mana tau he drive straight then tunggu sama tunggu for almost 15min for him to come back, shadow also not there already. Maybe i'm too naive to trust the ane will come back

This ane probably didn't pull his handbrake as I asked the food stall selling jiken rice he told me that fella order take away then belum bayar ciao already.

Damage not too serious just dent and cabut keluar sikit on bumper side. Why don't I take the address on the door of the lorry? I don't know, a bit stun after the incident just know that I need to take the plate number only. Picture of his lorry NAK 353

Laptop Unknown Problem[SOLVED]

Hi guys,

I will describe the problems and the troubleshooting i've done so far.

-Had this laptop(Acer 4738G) for almost 5 years already.

-Laptop suddenly not turning on. No sign of power, not even led light.

-Tried holding the power button for 30-45 seconds with no AC or battery attached. It worked.

-Restarted the laptop but doesn't completely shutdown, hang on the black screen with led light still on and fan spinning.

-Force shutdown by holding the power button. Laptop wont turn on again, tried re-seating the RAMs (not working), tried re-seating the CMOS(it worked)

-Suspect CMOS problem, changed the battery. Still the same problem occur and sometimes it only work after i remove the RAMs and CMOS and hold the power button for 30-45 seconds then only it work.

Something you should know

- It seems that the laptop does not have issue to turn on if it did not start loading into OS(Window). What make me said so? Because I don't have problem starting it back up (without removing RAMs and CMOS) after I did numerous force shutdown while at BIOS screen.(Before it try to load the Window OS)

- The laptop works perfectly normal(in WINDOW) just that during the next startup after shutting it down (force shutdown as it won't completely shutdown by it's own), I need to repeat the same method (remove RAMs, CMOS)

- Another thing I notice is that the time seems to have stop responding at certain time as like now is 4:10PM and after 1 hour past, it shows 4:23PM.

- I restarted (using the same method) and load into BIOS to check the time and it's having the same issue as well where it stop responding at certain time as well.

So, what do you think is the main problem here? Anyone encounter this similar issue? Motherboard dying? Windows file corrupted?

UPDATES
- Alright I think it just went from bad to worst. I play DOTA2 and it works perfectly fine until i play the second match it totally freeze up. After that moment, i restarted it again (same method as mentioned) and now I can't perform heavy task anymore or else it will crash again with white stripes over the display. Something like this

- Problem fixed. Brought to technician and fixed the problem. He said that Intel GPU problem and not sure what he did to it. Everything looks fine now. Damage cost RM250

Touch Screen Not Working Properly

Hi guys, recently I purchased a new touch screen digitizer from China (Not original) to replace my cracked ASUS Padfone S screen by myself. So after changing everything and turning it on, everything was fine in terms of graphic except for the touch screen part where it doesn't register my touch properly. When I try to press any button or swiping left or right, it doesn't response at all until I repeat a few times. Only sometimes it response as soon as I touch or swipe it. It is painful for me to text with this kind of situation.

I've tried resetting the cable connector of the touch screen, clean the connector part with alcohol, reset my phone back to factory setting to no avail. Is this possible the digitizer problem or is there any other solution that I could try?

EDIT:

Found a way that actually makes it work as normal which is pressing and holding the BACK button with one finger while swiping or pressing any other button with different finger. Seems that it is having a problem detecting the first touch.

Hey guys as per topic how do you differentiate whether the bumper is original or fake? From what i've search on this section fake bumper tends to crack easily? Any other way to determine it?

Just banged a proton wira recently while reversing and his rear bumper cracked while mine was just a small scratch, paid rm250 as what he requested

Laptop Auto-Shutdown after reapply thermal paste

I'm currently using an Acer 4738G Laptop, Window 7 (already 2 years). Recently while i'm playing games (counter strike) it freeze up randomly for moment or causes the ping to hike up from 10+ to 500+ and i suspect it was due to overheat of GPU so i open up my lappy and cleaned the fan and dust and reapply thermal paste. After reapplying the thermal paste and try to boot up, it keeps auto shutdown after it hangs on the window logo screen. So thinking that I might have applied the thermal paste I redo it again and the result still the same ( manage to boot up for 1-2 times but after shutdown the problem happens again). I redo the whole process for like 10+ times and now manage to boot it up and post here! The CPU and GPU temperature seems to be higher than previous test during idle which increases 20+ degrees. I'm afraid the problem will repeat so is there any ways to solve this problem?

Additional Info:

I changed the thermal paste once few months ago due to the same overheat issue but everything goes well and fine. I suspect it was the metal conducting the heat doesn't works well or the fan is not running at the proper speed. I touched the GPU when it boot up to feel the temperature and it seems to heat up very fast (normal?)

Add-On:

The temperature hike up to 80-90 degree with just normal loads.

[SOLVED]
Seems that the problem occur on the way I'm applying the thermal paste, the contact between the heat conductor and the CPU unit was too little. Now the fan doesn't run crazily trying to blow out the heat and temperature was all normal except for GPU, maybe need to readjust it.
