I have been searching mid range laptop with matte screen but found out not many in the market. Is there any matte screen laptop that comes with the following spec:

CPU: Intel i5 or i7 (non ULV type)
VGA: Preferably at least GT740m
Screen: 14"-15" non-glossy matte (1080p preferable)
Budget: 3k-3.5k

So far only found MSI GP60 that fits the requirement. Any other recommendation?

Which brand AVR is bright & forward sounding?

My current AVR Harman Kardon is quite old already and looking forward to upgrade again. Actually Im looking for a bright and forward sounding characteristics. How does the NAD, Onkyo, Pioneer fair in this area? I would be connecting them to my floorstander Infinity Primus 360 and my HTPC as source. Excellent/good surround effect rendering is a must for me. Would like to stay under 2.5k, if possible. Any advise?

Lump Sum Payment vs. Deposit Payment

Let's say for Flexi Housing loan I took RM 100,000 and monthly installment is RM700, tenure 20 years. At the 1st monthly installment in 1st year, I put RM 10,700 in my current account as deposit and on 2nd installment, i deposit another RM700 in the current account and so on for next month. The intention is to maintain RM 10,000 in the account to offset the interest charges until the last installment required.

My question is would it be saving more money if I straight away make lump sum payment to the loan using that RM 10,000 on the first installment or just keep it there inside the current account? Of course after making that L/S RM10K payment, the current account balance would be zero now. Im thinking there should be no difference between the two scenario in terms of total interest amount being charged for the whole tenure duration. Am I correct?

This is a gainclone power amp diy circuit. Im planning to drive this power amp from the M3 headamp modified into preamp. The M3 amp has a low output impedance signal and have about 3mV dc offset at the output. The preout signal level can be controlled via the volume control. I've been thinking to omit the dc coupling input C1 in the gainclone for better performance.

Without the C1 inplace:

a) does R1 serve any function? can i safely omit R1?

b) if R1 stay, is it advisable to omit R2?

The gainclone is using 3nos. LM3886 in parallel. LM3886 datasheet

How exactly do you calibrate your projection/plasma/crt? How do you determine what level of red adjustment to use?

In the Avia dvd disc, the commentator said to calibrate colour we need to use blue, red, green filter. I wonder where can i get a colour filter in KL? Or any suitable material to diy it? I tried to use a red plastic bag heh its not working at all.
