Passport renewal for child born outside Malaysia

Hi, I am a father-to-be to a kid born outside Malaysia (UK).

I plan to apply for Malaysia passport for my kid. That passport will state "London" as place of issue.

Now let say when my kid is aged below 21 & for some reasons, he/she renews passport in Malaysia.

Will the Malaysia Immigration department require him/her to prove his residence status in UK when the officer at the counter discovered the about-to-expired passport got "London" as place of issue?

I could not find an answer to that question & I do not know whom to contact to get a verified answer.
