Harman Kardon AVR25II Loud Transformer Noise

Hi forumers,

I have a Harman Kardon receiver model AVR25ii. However i notice that my receiver would produce buzzing/humming noise when the amp in usage after 1-3 hours.

I know that the transformer will produce buzzing noise, however this is very loud and would generate heat. The noise is not coming from speakers, but the receiver itself. What confuse me is, when i first turn on the receiver, it will not produce any noise but gradually the buzzing in receiver will become louder when i play longer.

My speakers are all matching ohm and watts. I've tried disconnecting all speakers and only turn the receiver by itself and the receiver would still be buzzing.

Kindly help me to pinpoint what is the problem as I've sent this receiver to technician and this transformer still buzzing.

Connect home theater to PA system amplifier

hi, i have this 5 speakers home theater but the amplifier is already spoilt. The subwoofer is rated 6 ohm, surround speakers at 16 ohm and centre speaker at 8 ohm.

[attachmentid=3244098] [attachmentid=3244099]

then i see this PA system amplifier i was thinking if i can use is to replace the home theater amplifier.

[attachmentid=3244100] [attachmentid=3244101]

the spesification:

the reason i wanna try this amplifier is its cheaper than actual home theater amplifier. plus it has multiple impedance output at 4ohm, 8ohm, 16 ohm (not sure if i'm using correct term).

as this is my first time assembling a home theater, i hope the sifus can guide me on weither this amplifier is sufficient or not and how to connect to the speakers. i afraid this amp is only 2 channel if i look from the pic. but i not really sure. maybe have to wire it in series or parallel.

if u guys require additional info i'll gladly try to provide. thanx.
