Replacing Old DB

Hello LYN..
Im in the middle of rewiring my apartment..need to replace old DB with all miniature to new and extend new sub-panel of 5x 16A mcb using twin 10mm cable from 40A rccb and 40A mcb on the main panel. All miniature in the main panel will be replace and add-on 2x 32A mcb running on 4mm cable to supply to 2x water heater and 2x ventilation fan. My plan as per attach..hope anyone can rectify if all were good enough for me to proceed

My House Renovation Journey

Hi LYN member..

I would like to share my renovation journey

The house is a basic 10years old 800++sqft apartment unit with 4 bedroom and 2 bathroom (got 2 small single-bed bedroom and 2 double-bed bedroom). no ceiling fans in bedroom, basic tile,all basic. Move-in on Dec'15 and just started my journey on Oct'16 after got enough money from saving. I had to break-down my renovation by space-area as my financial quite tight,need to save on my monthly salary paid.

We started on master bedroom first on Oct'16 as we need storage on keeping all our clothes (its our biggest priority),change the old master bedroom sliding window to swing aluminum mutipoint casement window with tempered-glass, and close-out back patio area as i plan to convert it to a wet-kitchen.

Hello LYN members,

Would like to know if any carpenter/'tukang' or small contractor willing to do small reno with tight budget. my unit is a low-cost flat unit, 2nd floor. no lift, no security.

1) Re-locate master bedroom door, change new door.
2) Change bathroom door to bi-fold.
3) Install A/C concealed.
4) add fan point with hook, wall lamp point.
5) Change bathroom window to aluminum.
6) Change kitchen window to aluminum slide.
7) Relocate master bedroom built-in wardrobe.
8) Change whole house piping to abs (exposed)

it would be nice if can quote me for each item. urgent need. thanks.

Seeking for renovation quotation for low-cost flat

Hello all LYN members,

Need some contractor interested to quote me for renovating my unit. unit is a low-cost flat (2bedroom, 1 bathroom) with minimal budget and minimal renovation not include any id. Just involve some hacking, refurnish, replace and installation. will provide my own appliance such as ceiling fan, lamp, vinyl and etc..

Dry Kitchen
1. Take out old wall tile at kitchen area.
2. To close-up window at kitchen with wall.
3. To remove all old concrete top and kitchen cabinet.
4. To hack and install new opening for bi-fold door for access to wet kitchen.
5. To removed wall separating kitchen with living area.
6. Refurnish back kitchen wall and floor.
7. To install vinyl flooring.

Wet Kitchen
1. To extend using square steel cage with base.
2. To provide and install zink with thick plywood for wall.
3. To install exhaust fan, ceiling lamp.
4. To provide and install 2x new aluminum window with ss mesh (2ft/1ft)
5. To provide and install awning.

Living Area
1. To install ceiling fan, ceiling lamp, wall lamp, air conditioner.
2. To cement and plaster back all wiring done later

Bedroom
1. To relocate Master bedroom door and cement back.
2. To provide and replace new room doors and frame for Master bedroom and 2nd bedroom.
3. To remove Master bedroom window.
4. To install ceiling fan, wall lamp, air conditioner on both rooms.

Bathroom
1. To repair bathroom, replace damage/crack tiles with new and to install sink bowl.
2. To replace old steel piping with new abs piping for whole unit (not conceal).
3. To install new water tap at laundry area and outlet for washing machine.
4. To provide and install new ceiling board at bathroom.
5. To provide and replace old window with new aluminum window with ss mesh (2ft/1ft).
6. To remove old plastic door and wood frame and refurnish back.
7. To install bi-fold door.
8. To install wall lamp.
9. To install hand-shower with piping.

To repaint whole unit, my unit is 865sq ft.
Relocate some lamp and fan switches for living area, bathroom.
