DS4 battery upgrade

Want to try replacing the battery. The DS4 battery life is still fine.
Any guides to follow or it's better not to touch the existing batteries?

[Solved] No sound through HDMI

Did a fresh install on a new hard disk.
The GPU was never tested if there is sound through HDMI.

Win 10 Pro x64
XFX RX 480

TV don't have sound. Headphone jack (motherboard) got sound.
Already performed windows update.
Running Crimson 16.6.2
TV is assigned as play back device.

Kindly advise on what to do.

Unfortunately two of my TP-Link router was struck down by lightning. Both power adapter was broken.
Kindly advise how to find replacement. Their help line is always engaged or not in service..

Special thanks to [@doinfinity] for suggesting me to contact ookas @lelong
From our conversation, TP-Link got send buffer stock for their distributor. If you want to buy, you can contact ookas @lelong or directly go TP-Link service center @lowyat to get one.

Finally i went to TP-Link service center @lowyat.

1300 8887 5465 -> under maintenance.
03 2141 4358 -> only have one phone, so have to be patient.

The service center check my router on the spot.
The result: both the power adapter and Archer C9 WAN port is dead.
Good news is TP-Link warranty got cover damage caused by lightning.
Router -> 2 years
Adapter -> 3 months

Unfortunately, i didn't bring my receipt, so the center refer to my manufacturing date, which is August 2015.

Finally i bought two adapters, one for Archer C9 (RM25) and W8901G (RM10).
At that time, i hoped that my W8901G is still ok but it turns out to be dead when i plugin the replacement adapter.

I also bought TP-Link TD8817 (RM52) from Viewnet, to replace the fallen W8910G. It supports IPv6.
If lightning destroys my modem+router again, i can claim warranty for both device at the same time

Hi. I will like some feedback regarding TP-Link Archer C9 v1.
I want to confirm if it's only affecting me or it's a common problem.

~~a. Unsupported browser~~
Edited: if i didn't update router firmware.
I cannot enter the router's setup page to setup the router.

OS: Windows 7 32Bit.
Error message: Unsupported browser.
Router Firmware Version:
-> Out of the box
1. 4.0.0 Bulid 20150811 Rel. 57338
-> Updated
2. 4.0.0 Bulid 20150916 Rel. 37772

☆Tested using I.E. 8, Firefox and Chrome
Laptop set to DHCP.
Anti virus disabled.
Already set PC not to automatically dial.
Already reset I.E. to default settings.
Already tried with and without compatibility view.
Same result after i updated the router's firmware using my phone..

What works?
i can only login the router using a mobile phone but only if i use Android stock browser or connect using PC via wireless.
-> PC if login using wireless, GUI is messed up.
e.g. dropdown box will not load, region setting page will overlap with password setting page, update firmware page will get stuck at 0%.
-> PC will get msg 'Unsupported browser' if connect via LAN cable. I have tried to reset I.E. 8, rebooted PC but get the same message.

@all, kindly confirm if I'm missing any browser plugins, etc.

~~b. Can't detect router's LAN port~~
Edited: My LAN driver is outdated.Not sure why but it can only detect the router's port no.1. After update driver, can detect all 4 ports.
My PC cannot detect router's Ethernet port unless i reboot the router. Unplug-plug Ethernet at PC and router doesn't work. Restarting PC doesn't work... Only works if i reboot the router...

Steps to recreate the problem:
1. One LAN cable (cable A) connect to PC. Cable A connect to router's LAN port 1.
2. Confirm PC can detect router using cable A.
3. Unplug cable A at PC side. Don't unplug cable at router's LAN port 1.
4. Grab another cable, cable B and connect to router's LAN port 2.

Result: PC cannot detect router....

c. TP-Link Archer C9 v2
Anyone have the revision of the Archer C9?

I received my unit on Friday but it's v1.
Archer C9 v2 is listed at tp-link.com.my
Mine is v1. Already double check sticker and inside router GUI also mention it's v1.

[WTA] HDD Unable To Format

Hi all,

I am unable to format my new HDD, Western Digital Caviar Green 3TB.

I tried formatting in 2 PC.

The initilal PC, Windows 7 installed in ACHI mode.

The 2nd PC, Windows 7 installed in IDE mode.

Both format attempts are done using Windows Admin Tools, Disk Management.

At the beginning (1st PC), I set the partition style as GUID Partition Table (GPT).

Then I proceed to format both HDDs. Only one of them was able to format (Raw --> NTFS).

The failed HDD remains at RAW format. Both PC can detect the HDD. Only problem is, I can't format it.

The status of Disk Management will remain as "Formatting". It will be stuck at that status for more than an hour
- No progress and no error message. Worse is that the process will not terminate itself.

I can't cancel the "Format" process. If I do, Disk Management will hang up but windows is still working fine.

Afterwards, if I shutdown the PC, the screen will be stuck in Shutting Down which forces me to manually shut down.

Both PCs are bought last year. Motherboard Bios are up to date. SATA and power cables of both PCs are working fine.
Both PCs have formatted Caviar Green 3TB successfully.

Any suggestions or a cure?

Problem:

I am using a 3TB HDD as my primary HD.

When I tried installing Win XP x64, PC recognize 3TB HDD as 746GB.

After changing OS to Win 7 x64, the PC could only recognize HDD as 2TB (max).

What I should do? Please help me, PC sifus.

My PC Spec:

AMD A6-3650
4GB RAM
Mobo: F1A55-M LX Plus

HDD: WD SATA CAVIAR GREEN 3 TB

OS: Win 7 Ultimate SP1 x64 bit
