Playing at 1440p with high refresh rate

What are the optimum hardware spec to play AAA titles at 1440p and target to achieve FPS between 60-100?

I am using an old setup of i5-3570 + HD7950 at the moment and has recently gotten an ultrawide monitor with native resolution 1440p with 100hz refresh rate.

I do not have a budget in mind as I might go for used parts to cut down the cost for better value to performance.

What I have in mind are:

CPU: i7 7700 or i7 8700 or Ryzen 7 2700
GPU: At least a GTX 1070

The last time i upgraded my rig was like more than 3 years ago, so i'm kinda outdated and seeking for recommendation.

Best tablet for studying and writing?

What would be the most suitable tablet for studying and writing notes with stylus? On a budget of below RM1,500 (including used units as well)

1) Used Surface 3 with 4gb ram version
2) Ipad mini 4
3) Used Ipad
4) Used galaxy tab s2 9.7
5) Galaxy tab A 8.0

Which one of the above that can support stylus and which tablet can actually allow to rest our palm on screen while writing with stylus? Ipad pro with apple pencil is very good in this regard but is way too expensive.

WD Green HDD issue

Hi Sifus, i have a WD Green internal hard disc which are giving issue now.

As seen from the below attachment, my local disks (i) and (g) belongs to the same WD Green 3TB where i partitioned them into 2 different drives.

Right now I can't access to my local disks (i) even though it is detected but no capacity volume shown like the rest of the drive.

What could be the problem? I have lots of old Hong Kong TVB drama stored in it, just checking with sifus if there is any way to recover it.

And also wanna check, how is WD warranty service? This unit is suppose to have warranty, their RMA process fast or not?

Appreciate the inputs!

My 2 cents about this mobil 1 is engine run more quietly and not sluggish even though it is 5w50. High revving the engine feel less rougher too. But is coming from using semi and mineral oil before.

Lower tier games like Dota 2 and CSGO can be maxed with ease. It is a bit dusty though and the cable management I have no time to fix it. New owner can bring it to shop and probably pay RM50 service fee and can get it done. Able to passed stress test like Furmark and BurnIn Test for processor, ram and graphic card without a problem. Reasonable temperature as well. Once buyer confirm and pay a small deposit like RM50, I will format this PC and install a fresh trial Windows 7 64 bit for new owner with all appropriate drivers installed.

I bought it around early Feb'16 from a nice forumer here which is a phone lover whose love keep trying new phone. I believed it was in good care by him although there is a few small dents. Nearly 2 months of usage, I face no issue with the device. Zero crash, zero restart and zero hang. Battery life is sweet as I am a heavy Waze user (Royal Wazer yo ) and play music for a long time everyday (through my car's AUX port and my earphone). Yet I am still able to survive a day long with at least 3.5 hours (usually more than 4 if I never use wifi hotspot) of screen on time.

I put on a silicon cover and new tempered almost immediately after I bought the unit because already traumatized from the damage of previous phone when I drop it. During my usage, there are no drop, no knock or whatsoever. Overall it is a good device with good reception as I can get more 4g coverage (previously different phone with same telco same location but may not get LTE signal consistently) and stronger wifi signal as well.

Outlook:
Casing suffered damaged from drop, small hairline crack near the sim card try but not affected the sim card tray operation. Wording on the back panel peeled off a little (Please refer to picture). The screen is kind of "detached" from the body (Please refer to the picture, you can see the screen backlit from the side when the screen is turned on).

However, screen is free from scratch cause it is protected by tempered glass previously.

Hardware:
The phone now cant produce any sound at all even with the 3.5mm port. Mic is not functioning as well. Should be Sound IC damaged. Other than that, perform just fine. No lag no other issues other than as mentioned just now. GPS, data connectivity, wifi, camera, micro usb port all okay. The battery just changed 2 months back, replaced with original LG battery.

Software:
Running stock Android Marshmallow. Buttery smooth and battery life improve tremendously on top of the new battery. No issue with software at all.

Reason for sale: Keep also no use. Already got other phone. Letting this go to not remind me being careless and broke this gem. One of my favourite phone of all time.

Need suggestion for 185/70/r14

Currently using Kumho Solus KH17 size 185/70/r14. Wet grip is super duper bad and easily skid.

What is the grippest tyre I could get for for current rim size as I know most good entry level performance tyre like PS3 or RE003 start from r15.

2 of the tyres seems like most recommended here is Michelin XM2 and Dunlop J5. How was these tyres?

I'm seeking good performance tyre rather than economical 1 as I travel rather frequent and wanted good tyre for safety purpose especially on wet road condition.

Another thing is that can this stock rim of 2006 avanza fit 195/65/r14? I think the rim is 6jj. Are there such tyre size?
